MMB hands down in my book. Them boys started off with the Tribute to Bob Marley. I haven’t heard that since I played it in high school. I Salute you MMB as a band head from the 504. Size does not matter, GAMB needs to go back and practice along with having a better repertoire. Let’s go NOASB!!!
I love Memphis danceline.. they gave me J-sette, they gave me Blaze, and they gave me MAAB Squad!! I fucking loved it!! Lol Would love to see a battle with MAAB squad tho!! Very nice job ladies.. Georgia danceline gave me GG’s, aggressive Dolls, and Motion! Y’all came ready to battle and it showed.. only thing was cleanliness.. Great job to BOTH squads!!
This is a true case in size doesn’t matter! GAMB sounded great but MMB was more polished and were more well rounded. Both had great arrangements but I give the slight edge to MMB due to execution. Both dance teams brought something different to the table but MMB dancers were overall more clean! GAMB dancers were dancing so hard at times they were about to fall over. Overall is was a great battle and set the tone for the rest of the Summer All Star Mass Band season.
Tell Memphis dancers to clean up their counts and timing a little since we making critiques chile💁🏾♀️ and all that crawling on the ground and legs gapped all open wasn’t lady like either, but anyways people like what they like and people stay remixing and copying jewel counts.

Hopefully it will be some more quality clips like this one. Both groups were good. I believe Memphis was more balanced, cleaner and their arrangements stood out more. GA is so large in size it seemed in certain selections some sections got covered up and or the parts weren’t known. Overall it was a good battle.

Let me make 1 thing clear....every1 saying MMB arrangements are better, but they are not only better but STRONGER DEGREE OF DIFFICULTY....GAMB played a lot of half notes/whole notes....not MMB....they played stuff only bands with balance (every section bringing it) actual instrumentation , articulation, intonation, and dynamic contrast can play....I'm a musician for 28+yrs reading, writing and MD(musical director) for churches.....you ain't fooling me...MMB with easy win

Memphis band better overall sound and quality of work!!! Well balanced full sound and arrangements hands down the 🏆 win!!! Memphis Dance line better sync and team dynamics with quality of movement to technique!! Well controlled and executed from every member in the Unit!! With entertainment Value Definitely hands down the win🏆 !!! ...GAMB did good as well but the down side was the battle mood overkill!!! All technique out the window from the band just on crank battle (yet still a good sound) to the dancers trying to hard and ruff to brun it!! Yet still entertaining (men and ladies have to find a common medium when dancing as a cohesive Unit. Balanced and team dance dynamic are Important)

MMB brought that “wow factor” with the multiple call and response arrangements. That last song y’all played after the battle was officially over went DUMB🤟🏼🔥 ( 34:25 ) I liked how both dance teams went at each other. Showmanship through the roof on the Sophisticated Jewels side with the routines.
Memphis did that. Their arrangements was more entertaining and on point. Gamb arrangements had no personality or flare. They damn near sound the same. 🤷🏾♂️💯💪🏾
I feel both groups were able to achieve the lyrical interpretation expected by the arranger. Vertically the music lines up pretty well; However, there are occasions with Ga, where the sheer number of low brass negates the middle voice from having a presence. In contrast, the voicing of the upper brass allowed us to appreciate the harmonic structure and the sheer creativity of the arrangements for both groups. I wonder what would happen if you took one of your numbers and shaped it dynamically so that the audience is treated to low and high-impact points? Just a thought..LOVED BOTH GROUPS!!!!!!
As a GA Peach Memphis got my vote. They had a more better song selection and was clean. The majorette squad was on point and hit every count. As for my home state we came with the numbers but the sections were drowning each other out. The lead dancer was dancing too hard watching him made my body hurt. Overall everyone did a good job.
They all look very good, the bands are definitely not here for the games.... The only difference is that, the BLUE in these stands, BAAAAA-BEEEEE 🎉🎉 they look terrific!!!!!

MEAC vs SWAC that’s the sound. GAMB is meac and Memphis is swac. GAMB 30 Bartione is over powerl the whole band. They upper brass don’t sound nothing like Memphis upper brass. It’s a big difference in sound. If you like BCC you gone say GAMB won. If you like SU you gone say Memphis won. I’m my opinion Memphis won because they smaller and they sound is raw plus they showing heart.

It’s a big difference in sound. If you like BCC you gone say GAMB won. If you like SU you gone say Memphis won. I’m my opinion Memphis won because they smaller and they sound is raw plus they showing heart.
