Live Media Over QUIC | Luke Curley

Twitch has been working on Warp, a new live streaming protocol utilizing QUIC. This talk outlines the benefits of QUIC and why it will replace TCP. I'll cover some of the emerging approaches for transferring media over QUIC such as Warp, Meta's RUSH, and RTP over QUIC.

Thanks for sharing. Why can't we use shorter IPP gops? In such a way we would still have nice quality but without dealing with mess of using B frames.

The problem with that is I-frames are much bigger in size when compared to P-Frames, hence sending more I frames means higher bandwidth usage :)
