Then advanced warfare happened and killed any hope. I'd say AW was worse. The new modern warfares are horrible. War zone also ruined competitive cod. But ghosts started the downfall. And I consider it one of the worst

you know what this taught me? it taught me that no matter how hyped I am, no matter how many rounds up in a game I am, never think I that kids won't be sitting in their spawn waiting for me to unnecessarily rush on defense... its defense if they aren't going to plant the bomb then just wait for it... Like for example how there are new games every year that are different so professional players don't have enough time to learn the new game. I don't dislike CoD or counter-strike, but I still think that Halo2&3 were the best competitive games of all time and I seriously wish 343 didn't ruin the franchise so badly.

Not according to views and money won etc. For something that was the best, it seems not alot of people cared for it. Halo 2 was great. But the competitive scene was nothing compared to cs 1.6 or source. Even mw2 mw3 bo1 were all way better competitive wise.

COD is fun but I don't think it suits the competitive scene too well. Games like CS:GO work better as maps promote more strategy, not bashing on the game, COD is more fast paced so the maps are more open and more "rushy" therefore not having enough time or safety to use a more complicated stratergy.
I think COD is fun to play, but not to watch.

Those are some of the sponsors, but many sponsor multiple teams and many teams have multiple sponsors. COD may have a pro scene, but it probably doesn't require the immense effort required everyday to train, and learn new aspects, and strategies. COD is based mostly around solo performance, while csgo has a deep underlying team aspect to any matchs, amature or professional.

Yeah that is the sucky part but I still haven't seen a comeback like that in the T8 teams in Ghost. Impressive none the less. Especially since EG needed to win the series to secure a spot and chocked that hard.

EG trying so hard to qualify for S4 up 1-0 in the series could go 2-0 but choke a 5-0 lead (only major team I've seen do that) and lose the game and end up losing the series which will evidently break-up EG as a whole. This may have been a major event but EG choking has a way bigger impact on the community.
