I don't dislike CoD or counter-strike, but I still think that Halo2&3 were the best competitive games of all time and I seriously wish 343 didn't ruin the franchise so badly.
Not according to views and money won etc. For something that was the best, it seems not alot of people cared for it. Halo 2 was great. But the competitive scene was nothing compared to cs 1.6 or source. Even mw2 mw3 bo1 were all way better competitive wise.
COD is fun but I don't think it suits the competitive scene too well. Games like CS:GO work better as maps promote more strategy, not bashing on the game, COD is more fast paced so the maps are more open and more "rushy" therefore not having enough time or safety to use a more complicated stratergy. I think COD is fun to play, but not to watch.
IMO the best comeback was either the domination game in this series that won EG the tourney, or the 0-6 SnD comeback for Complexity against Optic back in black ops 2.
For the people saying they can see the players highlighter yellow, this is only for the spectators(announcers). The players cannot see the yellow highlighted. It is so that you can watch one player but also see where the enemy players are at.
I understand that logic, I was a competitive up until CoD 4. But that doesn't change anything in a game that very rarely is won by actual bomb plants. All it means is it leaves more to do for the other players.
