Literally used to watch this weekly while I’m high school and I binged everything for the second time in my life and this show is really good imo. It’s crazy how underrated it is but I get it vs the Manga 🎉❤
I get that we're following and supposed to be rooting for a ghoul in this story. But am I the only one that agrees with the CCG for the most part. Ghouls are mass murderers that endanger humans and see them mostly as live stock. I'm okay with ghouls also defending themselves but let's not pretend like ghouls are in any right either. If I was living on the tokyo ghoul universe as a normal person I know I wouldn't want to coexist with them.
Except there are some things wrong with your argument 1. CCG is controlled by ghouls not humans if u know. 2. There are ghouls who don't want to harm anyone. Who have done nothing wrong.
I'll give you point one. But have you SEEN people like Rize just have a whole buffet with human corpses??? And she's far from the only one to do something similar.

That’s a bad apples situation at that point there is bad apples on the humans side and there is also on the ghoul slide but then there is people like hina who only collects corpses then eats them honestly I think the view you take at that point is just what are born into your gonna think you are right morally because you are ghoul you need to eat to survive and then vice versa a human would see killing a ghoul as right because it’s either them or me
I think the point of Tokyo Ghoul exists in the simple idea that the world is wrong which is repeated constantly throughout the series. Ghouls aren't necessarily evil and the CCG isn't necessarily good, and the reverse is true as well. The immense suffering of both sides is a product of the material circumstances of the world. When humans have to exist alongside other people who behave like humans but have to kill and eat them to survive, there is absolutely no way either humans or ghouls can act in this system that would lead to a morally acceptable outcome for everyone. It's not that either humans or ghouls are wrong, the world itself is wrong. But, as Kaneki says near the end of :re, the world isn't twisted, it just is. When in a situation truly as fucked up as the setting of Tokyo Ghoul, pinning the blame on one side or the other doesn't make things any better. Rather, the conflict is resolved by both humans and ghouls letting go of their moral prejudices to focus on improving their material conditions.
This was a good way to jolt the memory, it’s been so long since I’ve read it, especially originally TG and got nostalgic when unravel came on when letting TH-cam do its thing. Good job!!
tbh the anime ruined the whole show. it could of been so popular if it had a faithful adaptation and didnt skip about 70% of the story. i remember watching the anime and was so confused on how kaneki suddenly went in the torture chamber. the introduction to re in the anime was dogshit and they also missed about 70% of the story. if the first season had 24 episodes or more with good animation, not rushing and explaining things it would of been perfect. it gave me berserk vibes a bit, although they arent very similar but good pieces of work.

I think it’s funny that the manga tries to make us feel sad at ryuoko’s death, despite the fact she has probably eaten dozens of people. Like seriously, do the math. I don’t know if her age is ever stated, but I’m going to give her the benefit of the doubt and say she’s 30. A ghoul can go 2 months whithout eating before dying. So assuming she went the maximum amount of time between people from the day she was born, she still would have eaten 180 people. I find hard to root for the guys that eat dozens of people like this

Ur supposed to feel sad because they have families and friends. Also because they didnt choose to be born this way so its not their fault unlike humans who choose to murder each other everyday, start wars and eat animals cuz they taste good, not cause we have to. Compared to humans ghouls are more moral since they are like animals, innocent in the way nature created them. They have to eat people, its instinct. Meanwhile a human would never smell a cow and go bite it out of instinct. We have to cut clean cook spice and sauce things for it to become tasty and non poisonous to us . Just my perspective
early chapters of tokyo ghoul were fire what I didn't like in Tokyo Ghoul was the concept of Quinques and the fact that ghouls can regenerate I would like it more if ghouls could just die to guns it would be more realistic

Yeah, VERY unpopular opinion, but I think I actually enjoyed the anime more than the manga. There are some things better in the manga, and some better in the anime. I can't give a definite X was trash or Y was good answer, I think my optional story would be stitched together from the two. The introduction was pretty much 100% better in the anime in my opinion, while Root A, obviously had it's problems, I still prefer the Root A story, even though it is a bit confusing and maybe even has some inaccuracies or plotholes. But yeah. Thanks for the video! It was great.

First time I read the story normaly. Then i realize you can read the story like this: (SPOILER ALLERT who dont read Tokyo Ghoul Re) Tokyo Ghoul Re 1-5 + 6 to the point where Haise fight against Kanae to page 21. Then i go back in normal Tokyo Ghoul 1-14 and Tokyo Ghoul re to page 22. It was very interesting because it starts not with Ken but with Haise who don t have his memorys.
Season 2 was a near entirely anime cannon replacement of a much better arc. What season 3 poorly adapts makes sense after you've read past a certain point in the Re's manga that "clicks" it into place.

Human beings can reason, are self aware, have consciousness, and we even judge members of our society in which we deem immoral. Animals don’t do this. A human life is simply worth more than any animal and that shouldn’t even be seen as controversial. Even in a world as messed up as Tokyo Ghoul this would still stand true. Nishio’s gf is a hypocrite. He can kill humans as long as he doesn’t kill my friends and family?
