The IT industry in Australia is one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving sectors in the country, with a projected growth of 5.8% in 2023. However, there is a shocking truth about this industry that no one is talking about: the massive skills shortage and the lack of diversity.
According to a report by the Australian Computer Society, the IT industry in Australia will need an additional 100,000 workers by 2024 to meet the demand for digital skills. However, the supply of qualified IT professionals is not keeping up with the demand, as the number of graduates from IT-related courses has declined by 11% since 2016. This means that there is a huge gap between the skills that employers need and the skills that workers have.
Moreover, the IT industry in Australia is also facing a serious challenge of diversity and inclusion. According to the same report, only 29% of the IT workforce in Australia are women, and only 13% are from non-English speaking backgrounds. This means that the industry is missing out on the benefits of having a diverse and inclusive workforce, such as increased innovation, creativity, and productivity.
So, what can be done to address these issues and ensure the future of the IT industry in Australia? In this video, we will explore some of the possible solutions, such as:
    - Increasing investment in education and training, especially for STEM subjects and digital skills
    - Promoting career pathways and opportunities for young people, especially women and minorities, to enter and advance in the IT sector
    - Encouraging collaboration and partnership between industry, government, academia, and community organizations to foster a culture of innovation and inclusion
    - Leveraging emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence and cloud computing, to enhance efficiency and quality of IT services
If you are interested in learning more about the IT industry in Australia and its challenges and opportunities, please watch this video until the end. Also, don't forget to like, share, comment, and subscribe to our channel for more content on technology and innovation. Thank you for watching!

Hi Brother, I have like 7+ years of experience in India with almost top of the market skills. I am in the process of getting PR which might take 6-8 months. I am happy with grabbing opportunities but the only thing I am concerned about is Australian experience, I can't be an Intern or non paid employee after this much of experience in my life. Is is really such a mandate?
