    Thank tou very much Dear Dr Ryan. Quick question, for Question 5, Angle classification is taken in CR or in MI? it seems that in CR, a class I could "look" like a class II because of the posterior movement?

    • @BelLancaster
      @BelLancaster 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Absolutely. You should determine Angle classification in MI.
      For the purposes of this question, however, the 'most correct' answer is still B.
      Even though a Class I relationship (as measured in MI) could look like a Class II if taken in CR, this question asks for the specific occlusal relationship while measuring in CR. That relationship is a Class II relation.
      In that sense, it's a question of phrasing more than correct practice.
      As a bonus food-for-thought - the mandible in CR will always be posterior or equal to MI. Therefore, the answer can't be D, since you could never have a Class III MI present as a Class I / II in CR.
      *Please correct me if I'm wrong :)

    Hey I need some help with Question # 4. I am just not seeing it with the class 2 class 3 elastic set ups ,,, I know that we can think about the PDL surface areas but the Newtons 3rd has me at a quandary. Is there a difference between the class 2 class 3 placements? Help Help Help me O B 1 HMMM 🤔🤔 Perhaps that is IT ... Is it the PSA that is the key here? The greater PSA wins the tug a war? ?

    I have question why "D" if it's standing for lateral incisor but the sequence C-D-4 and would be a molar. Thanks

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      In the Palmer notation, “D” stands for the primary first molars!

    • @mentaldental
      @mentaldental  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      4s are the first premolars when using the Palmer notation system!

    You didn't take the questions easy on us at all. Absolutely thorough. But for the last question, it didn't state whether it's a buccal cross-bite or a lingual crossbite. That got me a bit confused, and I really need some more clarification on the posterior cross bite topic. It keeps getting me confused and I will appreciate your clarification. Thank you so much doc for giving so much knowledge.

    • @rafisurosh2855
      @rafisurosh2855 11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When not specified I am pretty sure it is lingual cross posterior crossbite since scissors/buccal cross bite is really rare.
