He played it and I told him, "I remember this song soooooooo much. I got the tape (and still have it!!) and played the hell out this song here. I played it through high school, junior college, university, well into my adult life. I met Marlon McClain here in Portland and told him how much I loved this song and Pleasure's music. Portland, Oregon should be SHAMED for neglecting these brothers producing great music.
At heart I'm a guitar player, and the riffs that these guys produced along with James Brown, Cameo, Parliment, and others were those that I personally tried my best to emulate,, and now these same grooves come up in today rap music. This is just a compliment to the pure artisty of those musicians, and the talent that they displayed on a regular basis.
Yes sir, I grew up in Seattle,. and remember seeing them play before they broke out, and always had an affinity for their style of play which i tried to emulate as a guitar player myself!

Ed karybean j'ai 19ans et j'ai découvert ce groupe par hasard en écoutant fip c'est une vraie merveille, j'adore ce style de musique jazz-funk et je trouve dommage que les jeunes qui adorent ce genre de musique se fassent de plus en plus rares, j'aurais aimé être jeune dans les années 80 pour être dans le groove de ces sons la !

As a bass player, Nate Phillips has always blown me away!!!! This is one of the most skilled bands ever with ridiculous musicianship! Marlon McClain is a guitar wizard!!! Most, if not all of the band, went on to play with the Jeff Lorber Fusion and/or Jeff Lorber!!!

What made this tune and ALL of the music during this era,is the HUGE FACT that there were actually black people who had TALENT to read and write and compose music. I mean that sincerely. There is no link to this MIND in the communities that launched these grooves. EXAMPLE, during award show, they bring out PRINCE as the LONE and TOKEN musician. Todays artist who were mere thoughts at that time are selfish and promote prose and poetry and their rants should be chained to the printed wod
