Wordle : I also got in four : TIGER, SONIC, BLIND and INLAY. I figured it had to start with I and the next letter probably N. After a lot of thought I got it. Strands: Saw Cooking right away, but .... I'm not familiar with BRAISE and DEGLAZE Connections: I got the yellow category right away. Then I really had to think. I saw four QU words and figured each probably was in a different category. With that in mind I put Squid to Numbers Blame and Arcade next, even though I wasn't sure what squid games was supposed to mean, but it made the most sense of what was left. Next was green, but I called these states of matter (it was a tough green category but then money is green), and then light blue was my default solve, but I tried to explain this one as some kind of condition or example to talk about a concept and I overthought it. So, i got through this without error with a bit of luck. Toxic assets come into common use after the financial meltdown of 2008, due to over leveraged real estate. The mortgages / loans on real estate were bundled, divided and sold and referred to as toxic assets. Today's toxic assets could be things like Non Fungible Tokens (NFTs) and cryptocurrency.
Although I am OK in these games, I feel so inadequate comparing my skills to your skills, Oranje. I do have my outstanding strengths in other things. Anyway, I was fine in Wordle/Strands and came close to getting all my categories in Connections I was able to get the 6 letter word "sample in two tries: AUDIOS, SAMPLE. In regards to you, Oranje, I am guessing that you are a very avid reader and that you have outstanding memory skills.

Don't forget your short/long term memory skills and perhaps you watch a lot of educational programs on television like Jeopardy. Also, the pictures of your two dogs look nice. In regards to Sadie, you meant to say that she had to URINATE. Sadie is a cute dog. 😊

Where does the connections difficulty rating come from? I'd be curious what has been the hardest puzzle so far. I'm not a NYT subscriber so I wouldn't be able to look up previous games.
