Anyone who's seen an episode of RaesTake knows how heavily biased Rae is towards certain athletes e.g. Fred & Melissa regardless of actual form, so need to take that into consideration :)

Yes, I’ve watched RaesTake pretty much since its inception and yes he does tends towards those American Athletes that has appeared on his show (Fred, Marv, Tray and Melissa).
With that being said, I’m taking a wait and see approach to Fred. I want to see how he performs in NYC on Sunday. Originally it was slated to be Fred vs Kenny at 100m but all of Dennis Mitchell’s athletes are not going to NYC. I believe that NYC Grand Prix is sponsored by Adidas and they are all Nike.
The biggest threat in NYC is PJ Austin. From a stat view, this race is tailor made for Fred to win and look good. If he runs a sub 10s, I would say there is a chance for him at USA Trials. If he wins by is 10s or more, I would say he still has an outside chance. If he loses at NYC, doesn’t run sub 10s, I would be more leaning that his chances are bleak in Eugene.

Jamaicans have to be patient, it’s her first year and she has to transition. It took Sha’Carri 2 years (2019-2021) to get things moving at Dennis camp.

Or he might be injured. Erriyon previously ran more often on the circuit, and his absence is leading people to assume he's injured or just overlook him. I hope he turns up at trials. He's actually my favorite.

@@Yes_I_c4n If they all make it through, it has to be Lyles anchor in 4x1, otherwise US doesn't have a chance to win that 4x1. Honestly, for the men, it's the USA, Jamaica and Italy that are my favorites to win the 4x1. USA was disappointed at the Olympics last time around, a lot of guys were disappointed in their finishes and final places, and they will be hungrier this time around for something more. Coleman, Bednarik, Kerley, and then Lyles to finish just like at the World champs last year. Lyles could end up winning 2 gold medals and silver or bronze at these upcoming Olympics.
I was a 800 and 1600 guy in HS and always have a soft spot for those two events in particular.

Why is Kenny a 200m runner specialist basically considered a shoe in for the 100??? For what reason when I believe he hasn't run a sub 10 as yet. I didn't hear any push back from the usual hosts.

He ran a slightly windy 9.91 in April well before any pro ran sub 10 in any conditions. Also he has almost made the 100m team when healthy such as 2021 where he got edged out by Fred by .03s. This year he's healthy.
@Nmogent123 Ah, I see just looked it up and his PB is 9.89 and that he's coached by Dennis Mitchell. That explains the lack of pushback as they basically did an infomercial on DM, extolling his coaching with his stable of athletes and picking them to get the spots for the Olympics. 🤔
@@sonojah I only really care about men's 4x1 and 4x4, the women's 4x1, and the men's open 200 and 400. I think the 800 can go to anyone in that stacked field, and same with the 1500. 100 is a bit boring to me, since I was not ever a sprinter and was only ever a 800 and 1600 runner in HS, but then again the top 4 wil all still be going to the Olympics, it's just that it will only be the top 3 in for the actual Olympics. This time around, I'm hoping all 3 who qualify actually will win it all.
