At the end of ep.35 remember the exchange (I am paraphrasing) TTJ: Nothing in the world is better than being together with you forever, LSS: don't you regret it TTJ: I won't regret it, if I break my promise, may heaven strike me dead and my body and soul perish. And in ep.40, TTJ says LSS should kill him and that would be the end of All-in-disteress way LSS says in a world where there is no Devil God, there is no need for a Goddess implying they should be together in death. TTJ accepts this when he says ok and they hug each other. LSS was expecting to die there with him. But as we know TTJ saves her with the heart protecting scale which means he leaves her "alive and alone" while he "dies alone".
I'm watching this drama already the third time. And there will be many more. This drama is a true timeless masterpiece. Everything here is perfect: the plot, the acting, the music, the settings and special effects. And, of course, Luo Yunxi delivered a stellar acting.

I hate how the people around the main character mistreat them but calls them evil for doing nothing and when they seek revenge everyone is like “I knew you were pure evil”🤬 I’m like you literally neglect, abuse, hit, starve, beat up a child and you call them evil.

In the end, SuSu didn't have a heart to end his life - she loves him so deeply. He made a decision on his own. It was one of the most heartbroken scenes I have seen. So hard to move on 😭😭😭

It is a series that reaches perfection. Luo Yun Xi 羅雲熙 created the role of TAN TIN JIN in such a way that he made us feel his every smile, every tear, his pain and his love. All the actors who took part shone with their talent. The script and the dialogues are unique. The sets, the effects, the make-up and the costumes are all wonderful. I want to applaud this whole team and thank them all individually for this drama series that stole the hearts of the whole world. Luo Yunxi& Bai Lu gave us award performances. Finally, I want to thank YOUKU from the bottom of my heart for giving us the opportunity to watch this series. I wish we meet them again soon and experience the happy ending of TAN TIN JIN and Li Susu. Until then I will watch it again and again from beginning to end.
The whole series is so pitiful. I think the moment that gets me the most is when she tells him she got a gift for him then stabs him in the hate. Even through that he says he still love her. Like really....unnecessary to say you never loved him. REALLY?! I WAS IN TEARS!

I actually really liked the ending! For once, Tantai Jin was able to make a decision for himself that wasn't orchestrated by the OG Devil God. He's a great example of an antihero! I think this was a clear open-ended happy ending and eventually they will be reunited, which is in the audio drama and is apparently in the novel as well. I would have liked to see more of Ye Qing Yu and Pian Ran, Nian Bai Yu and Fu Ya, Gongye Ji Wu and Mo Nv, etc. ETA I hope that Luo Yun Xi and Bai Lu star in their third drama sometime soon!
I actually agree about liking the way it ended but for different (darker) reasons. Tantai Jin suffered far too much for reasons outside of his control. He deserves his... rest. If we get a 2nd season, that's great. But I'm alright with the way things ended.

Best drama of the year! ❤ As a reader who has read the novel before watching the drama, I can say this drama is absolutely amazing. The novel is unique but it has many plot holes, but the scriptwriters did a good job at covering these plot holes and making all these random characters having a purpose. All the actors are amazing. The production team, stylists and creative directors did absolutely wonders and this is the best Xianxia drama that has best costumes, high quality CG, amazing sceneries and dedicated performance from the cast. This drama wouldn't be such a great success if not for both Leo Lu & Bai Lu! I can't imagine anyone playing Tantaijin like Leo Lu did. He did 100% justice for the character. Bai Lu did a wonderful job too. I don't think there is any capable young actress out there who can play bold & fearless Ye Xiwu, lovely & broken Sang Jiu and elegant & confident godess Li Susu, like Bai Lu did. Both LL and BL has such an amazing chemistry on screen & off screen as well. Wish them success in their future projects and eagerly waiting for their 3rd reunion! ❤
I couldn’t agree more, they nailed it, it’s just a sad ending and Susu is sad without Tantai Jin by her side. Wish there’s season 2 for this coz in the end Tantai Jin isn’t dead but he’s under Mohe River.

It will remain as one of my unforgettable dramas in my heart. And ML Luo yunxi amazes me with his great acting skills, mysterious look and charisma. He is definitely addicting.
Well, here it is, the feeling that I don't know how to go on with my life after this beautiful and mesmerizing drama ended. This drama was literally my life for the last two weeks. I cried, I smiled, I laughed and I screamed along to it. I think out of all the c-dramas I watched so far this was my favourite. The actors, the storyline, the costumes, the effects and the music - they were on a whole new level. Thanks to everyone for giving us such a masterpiece!
I want to see the 18 episodes that they cut due to censorship. Like more flirting and playful banter between susu and tatai jin. Also, seems some of the love triangle elements with Jiwu were cut.
Before his death, Tantai Jin said that as long as sin in the world will exist, Devil Lord will never die. That was true as according to the novel, around 500 to 1000 years later, he was in the mortal realm. His memories were sealed so he had no recollection of his previous life as a demon lord. As we have seen in the final episode, Li Susu will have a daughter and her name will be Tantai Jimin. Li Susu will also search for his Soul as Tantai Jin has done after the death of Ye Xiwu. In this way, she will understand how it feels to lose the one you love more. Anyway, they will meet in the mortal realm through their children and have a happy life.
To me, this is a perfect open ending. I actually didn't cry much during the series, but tears busted out as TTJ watching the imagined YXW told him: "You are not the devil god, you are not the murderer, you are TTJ, I love you the most". Well isn't that what we all longing for? Someone trusts us and loves us no matter what, accepts we as who we are, always. Also some wonderful details: 1. After the flashback where TTJ says, when the love and hate and life itself diminishes, who else will remember us? The camera then immediately cut to his daughter. -- Yes, he'll be remembered, there is his daughter to remember him, his love, tears, courages, struggles, and sacrifices are not in vain. He will be remembered and loved. 2. 500yr later, human, fairy, and demon are living in harmony, exactly what TTJ hopes to see when he mended the heart-guarding scale. Yeah he did it against all odds. 3. Previously at the very beginning, when YeXiWu took TTJ to the market, he got teased because he didn't recognize a mud whistle, a very common toy for a little boy because no one cares to give him one when he's little. 500yr after his sacrifices, in the market where human, fairy, and demon are happily scrolling, someone played with a toy mud whistle. I'm not a XianXia person and haven't see a whole lot animations, so may not able to appreciate the show as fully as others, but still, A very beautiful show! Bravo to the whole production team, writers, directors, actors, and all the supporting departments! It's wonderful project to be cherished for a lifetime.

Wow! Just wow! I had no intention of watching this drama at all. I saw edits on TH-cam but scrolled past it, then on tiktok I kept seeing the edits for this drama and I decided to give it a try. I saw there were 40 epi and about 50 minutes each and decided to just not watch the drama at all. The tiktok edits kept appearing and I decided to just give it a try and so glad I did. From the first episode I was hooked. The tension, suspense, pain, hurt, and love in this drama was everything. I cried when I finished the last episode, this drama was so beautiful and one of the best dramas I have watched. I'm not a person that rewatches shows but I'll definitely rewatch this drama over and over again. It's so good.
Tantai Jin's life reflects the life of most people in the world... one suffers from the moment they are born and have a bad ending as well. It's sad to see he didn't get his perfect ending even though he really had a heart of gold 😔
I think it was a solid enough ending, but I still hope there's a 2nd season. We still need to see Pian Ran come back and Li Susu do a "Wife Chasing Dead Husband" play.

I love this actor Lu yunxi more after watching this drama. The way he acts and the way he expresses feelings is tooo extraordinary. I first started liking his character in "Ashes Of Love" in which he was villan and dint get happy ending because he was the second male lead. And also i have watched another drama of his which was historical too and in that also he was villan and dint get happy ending and he was second male in that drama too. This was such a beautiful and heart wrenching drama along with its bitter sweet moments! We cried and felt happy alongside the characters. We lived through this journey of 40 episodes together with Li Susu and Tantai Jin and finally it has come to an end! This drama will always take a special place in my heart and one of its ost i.e. Mystical Bird! Oh man, what a song it is, always gives me goosebumps! The song has become my most favourite along with the drama.❤ Now it's already time to bid farewell to this beautiful drama. Luo Yunxi is so elegant and graceful! Even as the Devil God, he was still captivating and scary at the same time. There's not that many guys that can portray such characteristics naturally. I enjoyed every episode and I can't wait to rewatch it again. This is on my all time favorite c-drama list. I am very picky with the actors and actresses and storyline in general. But I must say that everyone fit their roles perfectly in TTEOTM. A beautiful drama with a good message. Well done!

Its too beautiful and a great masterpiece ❤️ I always rewatch the last episode because li susu and tantai jin's last moments are going to be always memorable for me that how he saved the world she loved and how she realized that how much he has done for her and the most heartbreaking moment were i always cry the most is that susu looks forward for their meeting again but at last tantai jin said that "This time we really are not going to meet again" made me become the most heartbroken person on the earth😭😭

Expected less , got more. Each trace to the drama leads to the word MASTERPIECE. Leo Luo gave life to EACH of the characters he played. His costumes , eye make-up , aura is everything. Bai Lu gave light. She did an outstanding job on crying , that just wants you to cry with her. OST , Graphics , CGI , Cast , EVERYTHING WAS PERFECT. I think they add minutes to each ep, usually 45min/ep, but for TTEOM it's like 55-60min/ep, still something cut out, but not as much as 18ep. I believe they try to keep all the best scenes in.

The whole drama is a master piece and the thing that makes it more Beautiful is its trajedy where Tantai jin gave up his life for the the mortal , immortal sects and demons . Though his mortal body and soul is perished he is still present in Li Susu's memories. She is the strongest as she lost everyone in his family including Tantai jin and still she lived .. The drama ends in a sad note but this is what that makes it a masterpiece. This drama will remain green forever in my memories.
Each episode has been like a full on blockbuster movie. The costumes, sets, effects and acting were all just above anything else out there. Well above “western” cinema of late. Thank you so much for this. And I loved the character arc Deng Wei’s character took in this episode. I’ve not seen him go dark and it was beautiful. Everything in this is beautiful.

Tan tai jin was so pure to ye xiwu but i doubt if she ever understood him even for a minute. It is good that she had to taste the pain of losing someone you love the most

It's been years since I saw a young actor like Luo Yunxi perform with so much emotion, I wish him the best and the future truly belongs to him. His wonderful performance made me love, feel sad and cry for TAN TAI JIN and wonder if there was a similar love story between a captive prince and the daughter of the great general of the rival kingdom back in the ancient times when the present states were many small kingdoms. That's why there had to be a vindication in the end for TAN TAI JIN's incredibly great love for Ye Xiwu.

I am in love with this drama . It teach us no matter how and where we were born but it depends on us how we will live in our future. It depends on us which way to choose and what type of person we want to be . There is nothing like pre written destiny, we can change it if we want . And their love is so true no matter in which situation they were but after everything they still love each other . In some time they were not agree with each others decision and there path were different but still they loved each other . This is one of the most beautifully woven stories ever told. It breaks my heart to say goodbye to this show after going through all the hardships and the joys with the characters. The performance, the soundtrack, the raw emotions in those memorable scenes... Being kind is a choice, and TTJ chose to be kind to the very end even though it cost him everything. And Li SuSu was the hero who sacrificed her love for the sake of the entire world. This is what I loved most about this drama. How heartbreakingly realistic that ending was. They all made the right choices and still ended up losing everything for the greater good. Sooo much respect for the cast for their exceptional performance. This was truly a collaborative work of art with an unforgettable soundtrack. ❤

I would have like to see some acknowlegement from Li Susu in her dialogue to Tantai Jin, that he is the strongest person in the universe for resisting becoming the Devil God and later resisting the Devil God within himself (which he deliberately became) and for loving Susu in the past present and forever. He really did prove that he could choose to be evil or not, even as the Devil God. He suffered and gave everything including a life with Susu, to save the people and get rid of the Devil God once and for all.
This is one of the best dramas I have ever seen!!! I started watching it when it was airing but I binged all the 20 eps in less than 2 days so I had to stop as I couldn't stand the wait and I also had college to focus on. I picked it up a few days ago and this series became an important part of my life. I laughed, cried, went mad and fell in love along with these characters. The actors were simply fantastic. I've absolutely become addicted to Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu's acting!! They literally lived and breathed these characters. Also the ost owns a special place in my heart. It was heaven to listen to my favorite ost in Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi's voices too!! This drama is a masterpiece that I'll certainly rewatch again. I wish we get another season but I might read the novel for the complete happy ending I wanted and rewatch this drama again!! I know many people are sad over the open ending but it gave space for hope and I'm happy with it :))

I want to applaud this whole team and thank them all individually for this drama series that stole the hearts of the whole world. Luo Yunxi& Bai Lu gave us award performances. Finally, I want to thank YOUKU from the bottom of my heart for giving us the opportunity to watch this series. I wish we meet them again soon and experience the happy ending of TAN TIN JIN and Li Susu. Until then I will watch it again and again from beginning to end.

All the characters in the story are well acted, especially Tantai Jin and Ye Siwu and Ye Binchan, Xiao Ling,
I actually really liked the ending! For once, Tantai Jin was able to make a decision for himself that wasn't orchestrated by the OG Devil God. He's a great example of an antihero! I think this was a clear open-ended happy ending and eventually they will be reunited, which is in the audio drama and is apparently in the novel as well. I would have liked to see more of Ye Qing Yu and Pian Ran, Nian Bai Yu and Fu Ya, Gongye Ji Wu and Mo Nv, etc. ETA I hope that Luo Yun Xi and Bai Lu star in their third drama sometime soon!
I actually agree about liking the way it ended but for different (darker) reasons. Tantai Jin suffered far too much for reasons outside of his control. He deserves his... rest.

As a reader who has read the novel before watching the drama, I can say this drama is absolutely amazing. The novel is unique but it has many plot holes, but the scriptwriters did a good job at covering these plot holes and making all these random characters having a purpose. All the actors are amazing. The production team, stylists and creative directors did absolutely wonders and this is the best Xianxia drama that has best costumes, high quality CG, amazing sceneries and dedicated performance from the cast.
This drama wouldn't be such a great success if not for both Leo Lu & Bai Lu! I can't imagine anyone playing Tantaijin like Leo Lu did. He did 100% justice for the character. Bai Lu did a wonderful job too. I don't think there is any capable young actress out there who can play bold & fearless Ye Xiwu, lovely & broken Sang Jiu and elegant & confident godess Li Susu, like Bai Lu did. Both LL and BL has such an amazing chemistry on screen & off screen as well. Wish them success in their future projects and eagerly waiting for their 3rd reunion! ❤

Well, here it is, the feeling that I don't know how to go on with my life after this beautiful and mesmerizing drama ended. This drama was literally my life for the last two weeks. I cried, I smiled, I laughed and I screamed along to it. I think out of all the c-dramas I watched so far this was my favourite. The actors, the storyline, the costumes, the effects and the music - they were on a whole new level. Thanks to everyone for giving us such a masterpiece!
I want to see the 18 episodes that they cut due to censorship. Like more flirting and playful banter between susu and tatai jin. Also, seems some of the love triangle elements with Jiwu were cut.
Before his death, Tantai Jin said that as long as sin in the world will exist, Devil Lord will never die. That was true as according to the novel, around 500 to 1000 years later, he was in the mortal realm. His memories were sealed so he had no recollection of his previous life as a demon lord. As we have seen in the final episode, Li Susu will have a daughter and her name will be Tantai Jimin. Li Susu will also search for his Soul as Tantai Jin has done after the death of Ye Xiwu. To me, this is a perfect open ending. I actually didn't cry much during the series, but tears busted out as TTJ watching the imagined YXW told him: "You are not the devil god, you are not the murderer, you are TTJ, I love you the most". Well isn't that what we all longing for? Someone trusts us and loves us no matter what, accepts we as who we are, always. Also some wonderful details:
1. After the flashback where TTJ says, when the love and hate and life itself diminishes, who else will remember us? The camera then immediately cut to his daughter. -- Yes, he'll be remembered, there is his daughter to remember him, his love, tears, courages, struggles, and sacrifices are not in vain. He will be remembered and loved.
2. 500yr later, human, fairy, and demon are living in harmony, exactly what TTJ hopes to see when he mended the heart-guarding scale. Yeah he did it against all odds.
3. Previously at the very beginning, when YeXiWu took TTJ to the market, he got teased because he didn't recognize a mud whistle, a very common toy for a little boy because no one cares to give him one when he's little. 500yr after his sacrifices, in the market where human, fairy, and demon are happily scrolling, someone played with a toy mud whistle.
I'm not a XianXia person and haven't see a whole lot animations, so may not able to appreciate the show as fully as others, but still, A very beautiful show! Bravo to the whole production team, writers, directors, actors, and all the supporting departments! It's wonderful project to be cherished for a lifetime.

I saw there were 40 epi and about 50 minutes each and decided to just not watch the drama at all. The tiktok edits kept appearing and I decided to just give it a try and so glad I did. From the first episode I was hooked. The tension, suspense, pain, hurt, and love in this drama was everything. I cried when I finished the last episode, this drama was so beautiful and one of the best dramas I have watched. I'm not a person that rewatches shows but I'll definitely rewatch this drama over and over again. It's so good.

Tantai Jin's life reflects the life of most people in the world... one suffers from the moment they are born and have a bad ending as well. It's sad to see he didn't get his perfect ending even though he really had a heart of gold 😔

I love this actor Lu yunxi more after watching this drama. The way he acts and the way he expresses feelings is tooo extraordinary. I first started liking his character in "Ashes Of Love" in which he was villan and dint get happy ending because he was the second male lead. And also i have watched another drama of his which was historical too and in that also he was villan and dint get happy ending and he was second male in that drama too. Why do most of his dramas are like this? Ahh i am madly in love this actor and his acting and expressions😍😍😍

Luo Yunxi is so elegant and graceful! Even as the Devil God, he was still captivating and scary at the same time. There's not that many guys that can portray such characteristics naturally. I enjoyed every episode and I can't wait to rewatch it again. This is on my all time favorite c-drama list. I am very picky with the actors and actresses and storyline in general. But I must say that everyone fit their roles perfectly in TTEOTM. A beautiful drama with a good message. Well done!

I always rewatch the last episode because li susu and tantai jin's last moments are going to be always memorable for me that how he saved the world she loved and how she realized that how much he has done for her and the most heartbreaking moment were i always cry the most is that susu looks forward for their meeting again but at last tantai jin said that "This time we really are not going to meet again" made me become the most heartbroken person on the earth😭😭

Leo Luo gave life to EACH of the characters he played. His costumes , eye make-up , aura is everything. Bai Lu gave light. She did an outstanding job on crying , that just wants you to cry with her.

In simple words , this is my ultimate favorite out of all the historical dramas I have watched. Thank you YOUKU for giving us the opportunity to watch the heart-felt , touching story of TTEOTM. Now that this drama has ended, I just wanna say thank you and kudos to everyone who was involved in making this masterpiece. This is one of the best drama of my life. We laughed, cried, felt happy, overwhelmed through this wonderful journey. I, personally, didn't want this drama to end, at least not like this.
This drama has properly taught us that No one is born evil & if we want to change, have a strong will power to change then we definitely can. If you ever feel bad, rebellious to everyone, just look at the people who love you.

Every scene in this drama, especially fighting scenes are brilliant. Although it's a pity that we can't be able to see 18 episodes that were cut out, this drama is still perfect. It'd be better if we can see more scenes in ending like in the novel. But now we are feeling something incomplete. We gonna miss TTEOTM*. 😭For now, I think I'm going to rewatch Yun Xi's dramas. From this drama, I finally get to know how important the kindness matters in this world. 🤍
I think they add minutes to each ep, usually 45min/ep, but for TTEOM it's like 55-60min/ep, still something cut out, but not as much as 18ep. I believe they try to keep all the best scenes in.

The whole drama is a master piece and the thing that makes it more Beautiful is its trajedy where Tantai jin gave up his life for the the mortal , immortal sects and demons . Though his mortal body and soul is perished he is still present in Li Susu's memories. She is the strongest as she lost everyone in his family including Tantai jin and still she lived .. The drama ends in a sad note but this is what that makes it a masterpiece. This drama will remain green forever in my memories.
Each episode has been like a full on blockbuster movie. The costumes, sets, effects and acting were all just above anything else out there. Well above “western” cinema of late. Thank you so much for this. And I loved the character arc Deng Wei’s character took in this episode. I’ve not seen him go dark and it was beautiful. Everything in this is beautiful.

It made me feel so many emotions that sometimes I couldn’t hold back my tears. The whole cast was so great and professional. I actually can't get over this drama. I felt every emotion they have very deeply. The truth is I usually don't watch chinese fantastic dramas. But I watch for Love is Sweet couple. I liked the storyline, characters. Tantai jin had the best character developmant. I love this drama even the ending was sad. I can't tell how many times I watched the last scene Tantai jin and Li susu. I cried with them. I can't watch any other dramas because none of them like Till the End of the Moon. This drama rised my standarts. I love Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu. They are also so cute in Love is Sweet. ❤

It's been years since I saw a young actor like Luo Yunxi perform with so much emotion, I wish him the best and the future truly belongs to him. His wonderful performance made me love, feel sad and cry for TAN TAI JIN and wonder if there was a similar love story between a captive prince and the daughter of the great general of the rival kingdom back in the ancient times when the present states were many small kingdoms. That's why there had to be a vindication in the end for TAN TAI JIN's incredibly great love for Ye Xiwu.

It depends on us which way to choose and what type of person we want to be . There is nothing like pre written destiny, we can change it if we want . And their love is so true no matter in which situation they were but after everything they still love each other . In some time they were not agree with each others decision and there path were different but still they loved each other . There were also a lot ups and downs but still they choose to stay together and never leave each other . In this generation it's too hard to find such type of persons we need to learn a lot from here. Being kind is a choice, and TTJ chose to be kind to the very end even though it cost him everything. And Li SuSu was the hero who sacrificed her love for the sake of the entire world. This is what I loved most about this drama. How heartbreakingly realistic that ending was. They all made the right choices and still ended up losing everything for the greater good.

I would have like to see some acknowlegement from Li Susu in her dialogue to Tantai Jin, that he is the strongest person in the universe for resisting becoming the Devil God and later resisting the Devil God within himself (which he deliberately became) and for loving Susu in the past present and forever. He really did prove that he could choose to be evil or not, even as the Devil God. He suffered and gave everything including a life with Susu, to save the people and get rid of the Devil God once and for all.
She said all that in her eyes, touch and kiss. They're a close couple and can communicate like that.

This is one of the best dramas I have ever seen!!! I started watching it when it was airing but I binged all the 20 eps in less than 2 days so I had to stop as I couldn't stand the wait and I also had college to focus on. I picked it up a few days ago and this series became an important part of my life. I laughed, cried, went mad and fell in love along with these characters. The actors were simply fantastic. I've absolutely become addicted to Luo Yunxi and Bai Lu's acting!! They literally lived and breathed these characters. Also the ost owns a special place in my heart. It was heaven to listen to my favorite ost in Bai Lu and Luo Yunxi's voices too!! This drama is a masterpiece that I'll certainly rewatch again. I wish we get another season but I might read the novel for the complete happy ending I wanted and rewatch this drama again!! I know many people are sad over the open ending but it gave space for hope and I'm happy with it :))
