I didn’t know about that Federal Law restricting commercial activities at rest stops. So interesting. I always wondered why most rest stops don’t have chargers.
I love your road trips. I think I've seen every one of your videos. Great information. I was actually on the West Virginia Turnpike yesterday and I wondered why there were gas stations and shops at the rest areas there, and nowhere else that I drive. I used to drive the 401 in Canada all the time and all of the service areas there have gas/food courts/etc. Hoping to have a Model Y of my own by Easter or so.
Jolt and bolt would be a good equivalent to the splash and go in my opinion 🤷🏻♂️😂
Hey branden, that eaton charger you saw in ct was put in 2012. I was one of the first users with my 2012 leaf.
I enjoyed the video. I live in the Boston suburbs and drive to Maine several times a year. I always have to stop at Kittery Trading Post on the way home.
Can I just say that the thumbnail is epic! 😊
So interesting with the federal law stuff, really learning something new. Thanks for the great video!
What vacuum were you using during this episode? You were charging and needed to vacuum the interior. Thanks, great content.

Side note, you need to get a custom tag for that beast!
Meh. Maybe
Please announce any Florida plans at Christmas. We are in the Tampa area and would love to drive down to south Florida to meet up with you & Dave.
I have the 2023 Model Y with the 4680 battery pack. I have noticed one glitch in the software. When I drive at night and I am using the Traffic-Aware Cruise Control, the window wipers with come on randomly... off and on... off and on. You cannot turn the wipers off. They stay in the "AUTO" mode. You have to disengage the Autopilot to stop the wipers. Anyone having this issue?
Great video again. The charging curve is really not great on the 4680 model Y. My model Y long range is much better at similar state of charge. Sorry that your stuck with that one for a bit. Great car overall though.
For some reason you are extra supercute in this video!
What??? There's a federal law that prohibits commercial activities on interstates? What's the purpose of that law? Aren't there gas stations at rest stops on I95 in Jersey?

@@brandenflasch Thanks for link Branden. Not sure why I never got an alert that you had replied. Perhaps because it was just a link?
Anyway, reading the article is hilarious, were it not so downright deceiving, of them throwing around that "NACS is opposed to the commercialization of interstate highways." Until your read what their "NACS" is, which is the "Advancing Convenience & Fuel Retailing." Nothing to do whatsoever with Tesla or the NACS that stands for the "North American Charging Standard."
It's nothing more than a band of bought local politicians dictating what the rest of the country wants and needs. It makes me realize just how smart states like NJ are to run interstates like I95 through their turnpikes to get around those politicians, while at the same time collecting money to keep the roads in great conditions.
Did I miss a video on travels while in Maine?
Nope, I made a few posts on X, but otherwise kept those travels private
At 57:10 you jinxed yourself. 😂
Is it not hard on the battery to leave it sit at such a high state of charge? Ie 95%+ overnight.
It’s fine - wouldn’t recommend doing it everyday
Do you have the iPhone pointed outside the window always recording or do you start recording when needed?
Start recording as needed on a mount
How do you get your logo on the Tesla screen.
Add it to your Tesla account on the app
That looks like kempower satellite charger🤔
What does?
@Brandenflasch did you see Kim Java's video on the Uber Driver who has over 100,000 miles in ONE YEAR? Now his battery is bad and it's $9000 to replace? Any interest in doing a video on that? He claimed he would use the superchargers twice a day charging to 90%
100k in one year is completely outside of any expected normal use. It’s unfortunate the battery failed but that borders on abuse as far as a use case.
Question...do you regret not getting the Long Range Model Y..Im looking to get a MY..just deciding if it is worth the extra 5K for an extra 50 miles..I do mosting local driving and may 1 or 2 road trips a year...Thanks for your videos
The new RWD charges better than mine, but I’d still get Long range if I was buying now. My referral link is in the video description 😉
How could you miss the exit for 84? It’s about 3 miles after you left Charlton WB Supercharger? Glad you drove through my state ( Mass ). Good video.
Probably expected it further
Sounds like Tesla is so very much the way to go I'd love a Model Y maybe next year! How do you get free charging?
Via referral shop purchases of miles
The charging on that model Y sucks. Definitely below advertised. Tesla really needs to stop using customers as testers for the products (testing 4680 packs for future products). I could see testing above advertised ratings, but not reaching what you paid for is starting to get a little annoying
Thanks for the videos and tunes! What iPad are your using? Mini 6?
Yes
Watching traffic is a bit slowwww. I suggest you reduce that.
I try to use the number of clips to convey the length of the leg
@@brandenflasch How about a text message that says 2 hours latter like sponge bob? :)
I like the info on the site design. I'm an EE. :)
