I’ve been playing about a year now and have bought several different harps. SP20, Manji, 1847, Suzuki Proharp and aa few Rockets. The Rocket has become one of my favorites I think. Responsive and easy for me to play. As far as a more budget harp I like the Kongsheng Amazing 20. A little more than the Easttop I think. But both not bad for $25. I just bought an 1847 with a custom Zajac comb. Looks beautiful but the steel reeds are hard to play in my opinion. Being a rookie is part of if I’m sure.
@@allenhawker3911 I liked my 1847 so much but my 4 draw reed broke on it😭 I think I'm just gonna stick with my MBD and Crossovers even though the 1847 feels like a tank I like the feeling of something that is more "movable". And I got 2 Amazing 20s! Good budget harps got mine in an E and LF
Your Rocket looks sweet with that comb! You’ve said you’ve been playing a few years now and I was wondering what harp has ended up becoming a favorite of yours out of all that you’ve bought!
You should plink the reeds after adjusting. The Seydel rep for the US told me to do that so they don’t return to their previous position. That may be more for the steel reeds
I am from india. I loved the harmonica music and sound. I had no music knowledge.. after trying and leaning almost years with key of C now recently got key of A,, but how to practice with A key harmonica , key of C and A both feels same, but i checked with some apps notes working fine as per Tone.. need help sir/bro
You can practice it the same as a C but if I want to do something on a specific key try to find some songs that use the key in a song. A real fun one to learn with an A Harmonica is Got My Mojo Working
Hi James

@@allenhawker3911 I'd say my favorite is either the Crossover/Marine Band Deluxe or the Golden Melody both are very fun to play!

Thanks for the tip I'll make sure to do that!
Use something plastic instead of screwdriver so that you don't scratch the reed. Great videos by the way.
That's smart I'm going to have to start doing that
