I wasnt aware that the issue is Utah has a maximum of 30 years. I assumed it would be 60 since she's still serving each one individually but comments say the maximum will be 30 years either way. Sorry for the clickbait if that is the case. Thats dumb.

My heart goes out to them I hope they get to be in the custody of some kind of family members (extended or not) or be either adopted by nice non-abusive people or be in a foster home together with nice and non-abusive foster parents.

Even IF he didn't have a direct hand in the abuse, he sat back and did NOTHING to even TRY to help his children.
He doesn't need them back right away, if at all, either.

My opinion also. To be living with your kids all their lives and just not care as soon as your wife and you divorce is crazy to me. He still had a duty as a dad and should have checked on them and request cps if she tried to hide them. Even a stupid parent would know they need to know if their kid is ok. Like it's insane how he isn't charged with neglect at least based on the situation. 4 years is insanely long and his older daughter and son had to have at least expressed concern for their younger siblings based on what I've seen.

Basically before her "buisness partner" appeared in the picture, ruby was already using punishments that would be considered abuse to most parents (not sure what laws are regarding that in the states so this is based on a canadian perspective), like restricting food, making kids sleep on the bathroom floor when sick, taking away a kid's room (including their bed) so they had to sleep on a couch sitting up, throwing away things like homework because they were laying on the floor unless the kids paid money to get their homework back, and probably more on screen, definetely more behind the scenes. * almost forgot to say that part but it's super important, the kid without a room stayed like that for MONTHS. Not for a day or two, but for months.

I often think about the video of little Eve on top of her bunk bed minding her business and ruby slithered on the bed behind her and when Eve looked back and noticed, her first instinct was to press herself against the wall to get as far away from her as possible. Ruby was already evil when she met Jody. Her evil was just magnified after. Praying for those poor children.
