My son has been on a ADHD medication since he was in first grade( adderall) and it was such a positive change for him. He is in 10th grade now and has a 504 and is still in a lower dose of the meds. Just keep advocating for him and get him a 504 or an IEP to help him not fall behind.
Girl never think special-needs classes are bad special needs classes have been such a blessing for my kids. I cannot thank them teachers enough. They have helped my girls so much especially having that extra aid in the class. It’s such a blessing.
@ yes that’s the best thang i swear im so happy i decided to go forward with them! I was hesitant at first like a lot of people but i will never go back ❤️
Hello Mahogany I wanted to let you know that you are doing the right thing. I went through a similar experience with my son, and I worked hard to keep him out of the special needs classes. Now my son is 39 years old and have two degrees Bachelors and Master degree. I will keep you in your boys in my prayers
You are a great mother my oldest daughter was born serverly preemie and she had I'm IEP and I had to stay on her teachers some was lazy and did want to push her to be great but when I showed them I knew my daughter could thrive and learn their whole out look change now my baby is 25 she work and take care of herself I manage her money but she spent it how she wants I just make sure no one take advantage of her keep doing what you doing my daughter graduated high school in 2017 ❤
Great job Mahogony especially how you advocate for Justin. I love that you tell other parents to check with their pediatrician for their child. You are doing an AMAZING job. I applaud you!👏🏾👏🏾
As a parent with a child on the spectrum the IEP and 504 has been great. It is great that you are advocating for your son keep going and pouring love into your children.
No matter which way it goes, just keep doing what you're doing and continue to advocate for your son. If he does end up in special education, don't feel bad about it. It's not the end of the world. My sister and I were both in special education classes, and it helped out tremendously. I graduated & went to college, and now have my bachelor's degree and have a great job. 😊
My son is in a whole special education school. He was diagnosed with autism but I don't think he's high on the spectrum. He was prescribed medication when he was younger I stopped giving it immediately. Glad I did. However the school & IEP helped him tremendously. And with us working together, my son has progressed well. He's still a little behind in certain areas but he's very sharp and smart. He even graduated speech and occupational therapy early. He's now in the 7th grade and they switched him to their other school that's only half special education students, half regular. If that's what is needed, it will definitely help.
😢thank you for comment my daughter is 5 is autistic she's my only baby and I needed help and advice and seeing your comment help me as a mom may god bless you thank you I appreciate your comment
Mahogany you should register with Pastor Chris Oyakhilome live stream healing, kids with autism, wheel chair bound walk, you name it. He does live healing stream 3 or 4 times. You are doing great! Sometimes we need to agree with other people's faith. You will not regret. Stay blessed🙏❤🥰
I LOVE your dedication to your baby's success. I work with kids with autism and adhd and parent support is SO crucial! I love that they pointed out that the rug had a track on it. That fit PERFECTLY with the race cars you got Justin for counting. It really is all working out for yall. I can't wait to see his progress by next report card. It's hard, but ma'am you really are doing AMAZING. Especially with having so many, so young, and at different milestone level. Celebrate how far you've gotten ya'll sis. This is JUST the beginning for ya'lls winning season 🎉
Both my daughters are on medication and it has changed our lives tremendously and they are both in special-needs classes and it has been the best thing ever for them and me
I have a cousin who's and adult now but he's autistic and trust me when I say ..he was diagnosed like your baby was when he was when he was about three or four..he started school always on the honor roll..he started playing an instrument in middle mastered that...went to high school played in the saxophone in the high band sung in the choir stayed on the honor roll all through high school and went on to graduate with honors..so now he works and plays the drums at church......his mom is a special education teacher and here where we live they don't separate the children with special needs...so I say keep going Justin you are doing great!!
Mahagony I'm so proud of you. He's fearfully and wonderfully made confess the word over Justin daily over him and the other chi k dren . And YOU know the word works . We will be standing in agreement with you you are a GREAT MOM❤❤❤❤. GOD BLESS YALL.
❤ thank u for sharing I literally jus order that talking flash cards for my grandson you are doin a amazing job this whole year congrats on all achievement
Thanks for sharing I have a love one she is 5 and she is autistic. Praying for all our babies. She is far beyond her years in education she can count to 100 and recognize then she can write she can say even numbers know all her shapes even the ones I can’t pronounce she can read a book…..thank you Jesus but she have her days where she don’t want and nobody can make her do what she don’t want.
Mama Bear, You are equipping your kiddos with a strong academic program at home and at school. Everything you do will benefit all of your children. You have the right attitude and so will your kiddos. Keep up the excellent work you guys and your support team. Your beautiful babies are growing and prospering in every aspect of their lives. To God be the glory. Love each and every one of you to the moon and back!!!!!!!!
When my daughter was little she was ADHD she is now 20 years old driving a new Honda and working at the hospital living in a house I have a prayer life with Lord God and heal her so she lives a normal life want he do it ❤God got this
Hi Mahogany I remember when you first started getting services for your son. I’m glad he’s doing well. If you don’t mind giving the ADA specialist you used. I have a 5 year old on the spectrum and I also live in Atlanta
You can always put him in a special needs setting for NOW. Towards the end of the year he will be reevaluated at the iep meeting and the team including you will decide if he can reintegrate into a gen ed classroom. Don’t be embarrassed or feel inhibited if he gets extra help, if he needs it now its ok. The second set of twins also look like they will need help, not sure in GA, but usually after an evaluation if they qualify they can enter school at the age of three in a special ed setting. They will thrive with extra support! Good luck
I have a daughter with ADHD and social emotional disorder and depression and she is in a regular classroom and a special Ed classroom as well she is doing better that way
Hey Mahogany! As a parent with a child with Super Powers. Thats normal for them to have weakness and strength. My daughter is in her third year of college. She had an IEP from fourth grade until she graduated from high school. I tell parents all the time you are your children advocate. Continue to keep open communication with everyone that’s working with Justin. My daughter Elementary got mad at me cause I invited her psychiatrist to her yearly accommodations meetings. They had to go by my child psychiatrist for accommodations not the school one. Keep doing great things with your kids.
Mahogany you are an amazing Mother, I love that you are ahead of this. Manifestation is everything and he will be just fine because of your hard work. I will be ordering these items in pink if they have it for my 2yr old daughter. I feel that if I continue to teach her early as im doing kindergarten will be a breeze. She can say all her ABCs, count to 10 and recognize some colors. I am proud of myself!!! Love you Mahogany...your such an inspiration in my life.
Good evening Mahogany ❤❤my son has a IEP and he is very smart and my son went through all the same support your son Justin went through too and remember you are a great mom ❤❤
It’s so good that you purchased learning a for the boys, start teaching them early! All of our daughters are honor students, thank God we were able to teach them plenty things at home before starting school. We are their first teachers!
Well done Justin and Marcel. Continue to speak blessings upon your children Mahogany. God thoughts for them are not of evil but of hope to prosper them and bring then to an expected end. You are a good teacher Mahogany🙏❤
Order 10 frames for counting and to use for math. Then you can use the numbers to match the circles in the frame. Tell him to show 4 on the frame and then let him find the numeral 4. These are great for learning teen numbers. Lots of children have difficulty with teen numbers. The letters you bought can be matched to the letters on the rug. Once the 10 frame is filled, then use a second one for teen numbers. The one in the teen numbers mean 10 and 1 more for eleven. He will catch on in his time. Bless you.
Get a magnetic board n practice his lower case... u can put one ur pantry door u get to much on fridge... I also was a special needs kid, but I became it. My mom wouldn't put me in special needs class n I'm OK
You are doing a fantastic job. You have a full plate. How about a tutor for Justin several times a week? It's got to be so hard with 6 young children to keep track of and their needs met.
My son is 13 years old and have Autism and he Doing really good now at first it was so stressful now my baby on a roll the Doctors want me to put my baby on medication l said no me and his Dad took our time with him and was patient is the key the Doctors said my son was never going walk are talk and he Doing everything on his own my son have a iep
Mahogany, you're doing great with the boys. The cards with the pics are like "print rich". You have a pic, and the word. If you can get ask the teacher for an old catalogue for ordering classroom supplies. You'll find loads of pics. Cut the pics out, paste them on index cards, and use a dab of rubber cement (while the boys are out cause it's a strong smrll) and stick the cards to or next to the object. EX: find a pic of a sink, glue it on index card, write word, a dab of glue, stick it up at their eye level. I'm looking in your kitchen. There are SO many things you can label. Stove, refrigerator, table, chair, couch, door, door knob etc. If they have bins, put alike toys in it. Find a car pic, write word, stick label on bin. It would work great in their bathroom. Shower curtain, tub, toilet, sink, mirror etc. The bins forbtoys are good. It teaches categories and what goes where when cleaning up. That's "print rich". So they dont crowd up the fridge, get them a lap chalkboard with one side magnetic/dry erase, and the other side for chalk. Some even come where you can fold it up and has a handle where the boys can carry it around from room to room. They can play teacher and help Milo snd Mateo. Keep up the good work🎉

You are against him being in special needs classes and that’s fine!!! Just like I didn’t want my child in general Ed because those kids was rude and mean and teacher too
There is Nonthing wrong with special education if he need it is ok they learn a slower pace. I never regret my son being in special education where he made all A B C student he had the same classes his twin brother had.
I suggest that you not take a “vacation” especially during school time and put that time with working with Justin more! Even working with your other children! Learning never stops and can be included with everything! That should be your main focus! Understand videos are so many minutes of glimpses of day or days…but the work has to be but in rather keep giving to the diagnosis! Just like you have him on medication why withhold the name because as you say it’s helping Justin…the real and raw could help another child and parent! Why disclose if you not going to share it!
Thanks for your opinion, I truly believe a vacation is necessary, considering all that I went through this year and it’s important that I refuel so that I can continue to be a single mom effectively to my six sons ages six and under. I may make it look easy, but it’s not easy at all and effectively refueling is essential. I’m sure any parent would agree if they could, they would step away to refuel as well. In regards to sharing the medicine, as a content creator, I can face serious, legal issues for sharing the name of the medication as I’m not a licensed professional in the medical field to suggest any medication and if something was to happen to someone using a medication that I influenced them to purchase, that would be a major issue. And it’s not worth risking my career and livelihood.
Listen mahogany I'm 45 a product of special education from kindergarten to 12th From 1984 to 1997 I had a learning disability and physical due to heart surgery and other factors. Believe me let Justin jr go in special education now but ask for IEP plan for him for his learning and where he lacking ask for everything he is in title to for him to get the assistance as he goes to every grade level make sure to ask bout diploma options now for high school cause I'm the 80's parents didn't have help and service like now back then I was full time special Ed classes Mainstream to 1 class in grade school middle school I was mainstream half of day and high school same when I was told due to me not having take standard testing like In regular classes ment I didn't have enough mainstream classes to graduate with a reg high school diploma I got a diploma like regular in middle my said special education diploma. I couldn't take regular college courses with special education diploma I had to get my GED then college classes I'm sharing so you can be ahead of them schools systems don't let them just throw our boy in special education full time and no regular mainstream classes cause that will definitely impact his education down the road Thinks have changed from 30 years ago they have various of education diploma program.❤ Also ask for mabe a aide to go class with him and help as needed just ask the school and tell them to add everything you need and want for his learning
Confess and cover him tell him he has the mind of Christ nothing missing and nothing broken❤
My son has been on a ADHD medication since he was in first grade( adderall) and it was such a positive change for him. He is in 10th grade now and has a 504 and is still in a lower dose of the meds. Just keep advocating for him and get him a 504 or an IEP to help him not fall behind.

Learning starts at home so engage with other boys too it will help when they start school make it a game

Order 10 frames for counting and to use for math. Then you can use the numbers to match the circles in the frame. Tell him to show 4 on the frame and then let him find the numeral 4.

I'm sharing so you can be ahead of them schools systems don't let them just throw our boy in special education full time and no regular mainstream classes cause that will definitely impact his education down the road
Thinks have changed from 30 years ago they have various of education diploma program.❤
Also ask for mabe a aide to go class with him and help as needed just ask the school and tell them to add everything you need and want for his learning
