  • Hi Folks! Well we are just getting started on the seeding season for 2022 and now its time to fertilize some of our new starts. In this episode we'll explain our process for using JADAM Liquid Fertilizer or JLF and how we pair it up with our own worm castings extract to make a super homemade low cost fertilizer.
Dilution rates: 3-4 tablespoons worm castings per 4 gal of water
1:100 of Grass based JLF aged approx 1 year
1:100 of Food waste JLF aged approx 1 year

When you say filtered through a 100 mesh, does that mean 100 microns?

Yes, the same as you would use on a drip irrigation filter system.

This was awesome, thank you!! I made JLF from grass last year thanks to you, so of course, now I have to go watch all your vermicomposting videos & get that piece up and running. Til now I've been going around gathering "wild" castings lol but those are getting very scarce with all the dry weather we've been having down here in northern California.

This was a great video- thanks! Did you say how frequently you are fertilizing? Is it once a week?

Thank you so much for watching. We try to fertilize on Fridays. Fertilizing Friday is what many farmers use to remind themselves to get it done.

@@BareMtnFarm thanks, that's helpful. I'm currently looking into setting up irrigation with fertigation for my raised beds and maybe even, in time, fruit bushes and trees. Lots of time up here in the frozen north in Ontario, Canada, well 5b/6a, could be worse!

Hello! I’ve watched all the KNF videos since you started making them and have yet to start. I will for 2022. What do you suggest could help increase biodiversity while waiting to use the JLF ETC? I do worm castings tea and Azomite. Just curious. Love these educational videos!

Have you noticed, if there is more or less native earth worms in the soil of beds receiving JMS and JLF?
