- Singer Songwriter Claudia Brücken talks about her third solo album ‘Where Else’ which is, with the exception of Nick Drake’s ‘Day Is Done,’ a self-penned collection of songs that explores different genres and styles - it moves through and around folk, blues, rock, film score, country and electronic music. Every album of her career, solo or in groups, has been a way of demonstrating her passion for evocative musical atmosphere, but this is the first one that does so without relying on computers and synthesisers. 'Where Else' is out now on Cherry Red Records.

Claudia still looks beautiful, LOVE her voice speaking and singing...SO in love with the German language. I could listen to her all day.
Claudia does still look great! And gives an intelligent, heartfelt, human interview. The person interviewing her has rather less charm than a robot.
Awesomely understated British way to put it: 'rather less charm than a robot.' Great. Put a smile on my face.
While Matt's voice lacked expression somewhat, I don't feel that it detracted from the interview in any way and he possessed more than adequate charm.

Well, umm....she looks like a "mom"(which is cool, because she is), and looks fab in that context.

What a lovely interview.
I'm sure many fans haven't seen this yet, but Claudia really opens up about many things - I especially liked the fact that she seems to want the unreleased Propaganda album to be brought out in some form. And so say all of us.
She didn't mention any new release from OneTwo to be forthcoming, and the website seems ominously quiet on any activity. I hope all is well on that front, and that like Propaganda and Act, we wont be left with just one 'real' album to enjoy.
On the plus side, both of the latest solo efforts have been brilliant, and am looking forward to seeing some live shows in London. I hope some are in the pipeline!!
I saw her perform live a few years ago at the Kings Cross Scala and she was brilliant and yes, one lovely looking woman.

Lovely warm lady,amazing voice and has a great aura.Very underrated group was propaganda one of the best groups ever without doubt and they deserve to be mentioned in the best company like Omd/human league/soft cell/depache mode etc etc and all the other great synth bands around that time.Timeless music propaganda made as sounds as good today in 2023 as they did in 1983.

Blimey, she's aged well. A middle aged woman who looks better than she did when she was young. Having not seen her for many years I had no idea she was this lovely. Real warmth. Interviewer is a stiff though.
Don't get me wrong looks good for her age, but i disagree saying she looks better now than when she was younger.
And now this was 6 + half years ago.

What an amazing interview! Love it! As a musician to, love the way how this lady express her feelings about music and her work on it. Since a long time ago I wanted to do a project with her, even during the time I was living in Germany, but never got a way to contact her. Now , back to Portugal, still didn't loose the hope for it. in the eights she was fit but now in 2017 she is still fit wow and the music is good too .
Very impressive woman. A secret wish was one of the first records I brought. The term I would use for it now is intellectual pop. There was even lots of philosophy on the record sleave. It was wonderful and still is. It was a travesty that Duel only got to 21 (though it stayed at that position for three weeks) in the UK. However now - quite rightly - it is remembered more than many songs that got a lot higher.

I can understand how and why you felt that way about Propaganda for the period, say, 1981-86.

I he may appear to have the personality of a robot but he does ask intelligent questions and that is what really matters rather than dumb questions from a lively, dressed up interviewer.

Propaganda are legendary. The talent, music and image that has been presented by the band is incredible and really are a basis of my young adulthood in the mid 80s' . This is my first experience of an interview of one of the main members. Brücken is SO gracious and thoughtful but also warm and welcoming. I'm really happy I stopped to watch this.

Really good info but loads of info on Claudia around but virtually nothing on Susanne Fraytag which is disappointing.
Unless she is a counsellor in England now which I doubt as that is the only Susanne Freytag I can see, there is a resemblance ironically thought.
