Bar buddies are the best buddies. Living together is hard for people too.
My girls live in divided C&C pen with about 7 Square feet each. Each one has about four hours of floor time while other enjoys whole cage. At supper time, they return to divided cage and spend some time at divider often sleeping side by side.
My older girl came from a breeding situation and loves her own space. She is also food aggressive and extremely dominant.
My younger girl was bonded to her mother who died and was a single pig after that.
I believe cases like these result in pigs who fail at bonding but thrive as grid buddies.

I had to separate my big boy Jasper from his mates because his biological brother Casper decided he didnt want to live with his brother anymore. The smallest boy I have, Nugget, is the top pig and gets along with both of them -- but hes obvious best friends with Casper. So unfortunately Jasper is alone but bar-buddies with Casper and Nugget. Ive been spending more time with Casper handling him and just having him do much more floor time than the other two just so I can take the divider down and Jasper/Nugget can have some playtime together. They do their chasing and rumbling then have hay together then take a nap. Its sad when I have to separate them again because Jasper really loves to play with Nugget. Ill most likely be looking for a new friend for Jasper, but Im scared that having any new piggies, even a baby boy, would disrupt the aura and the last thing I want is to have 4 boys in 4 separate cages

@@pigBoyz I do suggest going through a registered rescue that can help you find the perfect match up

@@fitzguineavision I wish we had a guinea pig sanctuary anywhere around where I live unfortunately I live about 100 miles in any direction from any major cities. Though Ive found a few people who breed piggies around my area. Im going to need to hold out for a very very young guinea pig boy and hopefully someone who has more than one male so I could bring Jasper and try to find his better match.
At first I wanted only 2 boys to spoil them, but the lady had 3 boys so I took them all (how could I not??) so now Im at the point thinking I need a 4th lol!
