Hey mate! Much appreciated that you're watching! Thanks for the comment! The water protection of the netherlands is quite a stunning piece of engineering!
Stoked to see you back on the road mate. Holland is beautiful and you got a mint camping spot. Rolling out the swag right next to a beautiful lake with no flies, you're living the dream mate😅😅
I really admire your adventure spirit and enthusiasm for a young guy, I am a 75 yr old Aussie who loves bikes as well, ( mine is a RE Himalayan ) I am so sorry for your mishap here in Australia, you can definitely meet all kinds of characters here, especially in the outback ...... you have seen more of my country than me, ( I'v seen a fair bit ) but not like you ..... keep it up Luke, enjoy your youth and freedom to complete your wishes ..... cheers mate 🦘🦘🦘
Thanks mate! Much appreciate youre comment! Australia is a country to my heart! Its got some extreme beauty! Next up, Norway, Sweden, and Russia! Stay tuned for more Adventure!
@@Adventure_Fever I saw that when I looked closer to it! I'm like that's a dyke LOL that's really cool! Canada is a beautiful place but we have nothing neat like that well as far as I'm aware of or maybe we do I'm just out of the loop and living under a rock as usual haha
Welcome back , now we get to see your part of the world through your eyes. I’m sure it won’t be as remote as your trip through Australia. But from what I’ve seen through other videos, much more green and beautiful and no Crocks
Great to see you back on the road Luke. We shared a campfire as you were starting off in Australia at the Cane Toad Rally (I was on a GSX Suzuki sidecar). Was sorry to see how your Aussie trip ended but really enjoyed your adventure up until then. Looking forward to the next chapter. Bernhard
Great to read youre reply! Awesome that glen took me allong on that trip and that i got to spend some great times and meet some nice people like yourself! The side car was a inspiration, constantly thinking about getting one aswell hehe. Would be cool to travel with a bike with sidecard and a dog to tag allong, especially in countries like africa that would be good. My trip was amazing, got to meed many cool aussies, and once again came to the realisation that aussies are the most warm hearted welcoming people! Thanks for watchinf bernhart!
Thanks for staying tuned @grahamcairn8379 You've been with the adventure for a while now! I keep appreciating that you're watching and letting me know that you do! Thanks so much in supporting me in this adventure!
Great to see you back on your journey! Just had my TRK 502 X shipped to me today but only took 3 weeks from east to west Australia, still needs checks like yours for road worthy’s 🙄anyway look forward to you4 trips! Ride safe 👍😎
Luckily the roadworthy checks in Australia arent as strict as in europe, out here there screwing you around with emission laws etc... thanks for watching again mate!
Noraly/ ItchyBoots uses Reckless 80 Mosko Moto bags. She has an expensive drone as well, and from what I've seen in her videos, she has had absolutely no problem at all with her expensive gear. I guess the bags are pretty dang tough and she had changed from the hard case ones that you use to the soft ones. You should check it out. She also said in one of her videos that she prefers the bags because the bike is much lighter. I'm glad to see you on the road, and like I said in another post, I will catch up on all your older videos that I missed!
Yes they look pretty good! I must admit there a awesome way to get youre bike luggage system fixed, however there pretty expensive aswell. They reduction of weight is the thing that is a big plus to me! Thanks for watching, very much appreciated!
@totaratree99 Thanks for folllowing through in my adventure mate! You've been with the adventure for a while now! Much appreciate you watching my videos! Stay safe! Cheers!
I would suggest that you change out all your old-school metal panniers and boxes for soft luggage. Most importantly, metal panniers are much more apt to be leg breakers if you happen to crash and get caught under the panniers. Soft luggage is far more forgiving. Also, soft luggage is less susceptible to passing on vibration than hard containers, which will keep your electronic stuff in better working order. Soft luggage can be contracted or expanded to match changes in what you decide to carry. Many sets are specially made for adventure riding and are waterproof. I put clothes and other moisture-sensitive items in plastic bags inside my soft luggage for additional moisture protection.
True, i am going to try to do this, just have to find out what system and how much its going to cost, I have heard this story many times and I'm eager to try the soft luggage system! Thanks for watching again mate!
To save weight. Change to soft panniers and remove the metal ones. Also use a roll top waterproof duffle bag on the seat. You can also then get smaller dry bags to place your expensive electrical gear in to double up on the waterproofing.
Yes, im thinking of that! I really like the mosko moto one's but there rather expensive..... Im pretty worried about the bumpy ride and not having a hard case around the electrical gear, especcialy for my expensive computer... but most of all.... The sat phone, if that precious thing breaks when i need it shit really hits the fan hehe
Great to see you back on the bike and starting your new adventure mate! Really looking forward to seeing this exciting trip in season two. Safe riding and happy adventures!
@tomasjoseph3161 Thanks for watching mate! much appreciated! I hope that one day i will make it to namibia on the bike myself! Stay tuned for more adventure! Cheers!
Hey paul! Thanks for staying tuned mate, yes it will be diffrent then season one, much less remote i guess, but im going to try to keep it as adventurous as possible! I must admit, travelling in europe, especially around the netherlands feels not adventurous at all! But for the sake of it i might aswell! Cheers for watching thanks!
I think you do like most motorbike drivers.. Norway, only Nord Cap really applies.. It's a tourist trap.. (and I say that as a Norwegian motorbike driver) And once you're this far north.. Go to East Finnmark.. Hamningberg, Vardø, Sør Varanger.. Beautiful and quite striking nature.. Especially towards Hamningberg.. Have a great trip, and drive carefully..
That's a very good advice, however i must make it to the most northern point, just to see it! But those suggestions will definetly be taken into concideration! Would you have any information on the dirt roads and tracks around that region? If so please contact me via the contact form on my website, id love to get some local advice! Cheers mate thanks for watching and commenting!
@@Adventure_Fever Depends a bit on what you're interested in seeing.. There are few opportunities to drive off-road.. (motoring in the outback is heavily regulated) But I now think that most of Eastern Finnmark is worth seeingn.. That's it the area in Norway that consists mostly of small fishing communities, with nice people almost everywhere you go. We can talk when you get closer to Northern Norway :) There is a TET in the North.. which is on your way to the North Cap.
Good to see you back on the road and that the bad experience has not dulled your enthusiasm. Excellent video great to see your side of the woods. I went the other way and bought a motorbike in Europe to do the TET. Finished up the Greek one last year which was great. It is a bit strange, in someways it is just as remote as the Australian trails. A village is never to far away but on 6.500 ks of off road trail I only saw 4 riders. Getting ready for a big trip here Flinders, Simpson, Anne Beadell, Canning Stock Route, Tanami desert and more. You missed out you could have come with us 😅. Leaving for Europe after this for some more of the TET. Never know might see you on the trails. Ride safe.
Nice! What countries did you ride? I must admit i now did part of the dutch / belgian / luxembourgh / french tet. however in the dutch part i ended up skipping some sections due to its repetetiveness. That trip sounds good! Whenever you get to europe please notify me! Love to do some riding togheter!
@@Adventure_Fever Have only started the TET last year with the Greek TET and a small section of Albania. Some great trails there. I am planning to do all of it though. Will not be doing much this year as I am coming over late in the riding season in September and will probably finished the section around Mt Olympus that I missed last year due to bad weather and Albania if the weather allows. I will be setting up my bike for a much longer trip next year 2026. including Morocco and Mauritania. Yep would love to catch up for a ride when we get a chance will keep you posted.
Glad your back luke, looking forward to some more of your adventures, by the way what has happened to your fury friend you used to have on the dash of your bike. And also did your find out why the bike was over heating when in Australia, thanks mate ride safe.
Not sure why but the coolant was very low, i just brought it to a shop, it had the same problem in the netherlands i ended up replacing some hoses and clamps
Leuk!
Definetly, not because of the shipping but the all up combined costs. Mostly because of the burocratic nonsense. Would you be intrested in seeing a video of a breakdown of the costs?

@@Adventure_Fever Great tune that one can sing to ones self or out loud going through Belgium, to wake up the freaky deaky Belgians and stoic Norwegians. There's a road going in the middle of the water😮 and all the windmills. That's so neat.
Yes ;) Its not just a road, its a massive dike of 32km's long! It keeps the netherlands dry and above water during heavy weather :)
