I commented on a video about Jordan Belfort and I wasn’t very complimentary of him. Two years later, I still get replies saying that *Jordan did nothing wrong!* I’ve even had to explain that you can’t sentence someone for prison unless they’ve broken the law. I really feel that movie glamorises criminal behaviour and completely left out the victims of Belfort and co’s fraud. It amazes me that he literally has a huge fan base of young men (they all seem to be men) who would happily follow in his footsteps if they got the chance.

Honestly, I feel like this goes for the glorification of basically any multi-million or billionaire, because you don't make that much money without exploiting people, but Jordan Belfort is especially Insidious because he didn't just exploit somebody's labor, but he mess with the economy so bad that God knows what kind of consequences it had.
That being said, just because of the way the American economy works, success really is kind of predicated on you not having any concern for human life. The more like a Jordan Belfort you are, the more successful you are likely to become.

@@chipdirk9278 If you want to play old formats, you either need to buy the cards or proxy. If you don't like playing with proxy cards, it's become exorbitant to play old formats due to them steadily increasing in price.
Not to mention, if you play with the cards, they suffer wear and tear, and thus, you lose massive amounts of money for no reason.

I know this was only 1 tiny little part of this video, but the fact that Kim fucking Kardashian..who is already a BILLIONAIRE, can make $1,000,000 for taking 10 seconds to literally just copy/paste a tweet while the majority of people, including myself, work themselves to death and still struggle just to keep a roof over their heads or food in the fridge is just..it makes me want to hit the off button on humanity.
