A tip. if you have a wig thats natural black and you only want a couple levels lighter. U can just directly use a box dye of your choosing cus there is aldreay developer in box dye. BUT this only works on virgin hair, color treated hair wont lift with just box dye.
Very helpful, because I just dyed my wig with box dye and it did not lift lol, so I guess that means it was color-treated lol.
This is helpful cuz mine is virgin hair and it’s a just a tad dark but like I don’t want to fuck Up the pre bleached knots but I also don’t want to use the bleach bath and accidentally I make it wrong tone for me. So like do I just omit the bleach if I use this method and only developer and like blue shampoo and conditioner? Like someone help me plz

Hey love , tip here for next time , when using bleach as soon as you mix the lightener and developer it starts to activate and the longer you have it out the less affective it is . Try making smaller mixtures :)
Oh yeah thanks. I make larger mixtures because I prefer to not have to keep mixing the powder over and over. Just a preference thing tbh

Yea just be very careful. Over bleaching can cause damage to the hair, just don’t over process it or the knots can literally fall off the lace.
Did you mix your hair color with the bleach ? I have adore hair dye and to be on the safe side I just want to make sure with the developer and bleach do I also add my hair dye on to it and if so how many bottles would you recommended ?
Hey! No I didn't use any hair dye in this video. I just used the bleach and developer and it came out this color. I honestly believe that the bleaching time and results depend on the hair. If I were in your shoes, I would probably bleach the hair first to achieve this color and then rinse out the bleach, use neutralizing shampoo to cleanse and then add the adore color if I wanted the color of the adore hair.
also keep in mind that the hair is darker when wet and will lighten up when it dries.
How long did you leave the bleach in for?
30 ish but I keep checking every 15 because It really depends on the brand of bleach and developer tbh

this isn't a synthetic wig. its 100 human hair which is okay to use certain products as it is not on my actual scalp. I would advise you to get a licensed professional to assist with your hair.

yes, just keep an eye on it every 15. I have even used 40 before

what if I just let the hair soak in the bleach ???
ummm, I mean it should work but just make sure you comb the bleach through because it will just sit where ever you put it and I could end up patchy... not cute lol so just comb it through the hair to ensure even application
Does it matter how much bw2 we use
As long as you have enough to do the entire hair then you good. I just got the tub because I hate running out of bleach while lifting... it’s a mess.
does this work with synthetic wigs?
I wouldn’t try to do it with a synthetic wig so I’m not sure babe 💓
When you flip the wig to do the knots doesn’t the bleach come onto the mannequin head & vice versa when you flip it back
Yeah if I apply alot of pressure. But if im bleaching the knots - the goal is to bleach the knots and not the hair so the bleach shouldn’t make it to the mannequin, let alone the hair.
If your worried about that, wrap your mannequin head in plastic bag. I got it from Amazon for like $20 bucks
In this video I’m bleaching the entire wig so I didn’t really mind the bleach going thru.

It will but it stops processing after about 30 minutes. So the other parts will catch up, you just have to move quickly. Brush comb out apply mix & move to next section 💗

Is the toner at the end 100% necessary?
Noo, but sometimes when you bleach hair it gives you a yellow undertone, and looks orangish - especially after doing bleaching the knots, so it can be helpful to remove that brassy look to the hair. it all depends on how you feel with the finally result. if you like what you have after bleaching, you dont need it, but if its a lil orangish/brassy I would use the toner. SALLY has them for about $7 I think 💖

how long did you let it sit after bleaching
30 mins. but I will put a disclaimer, diff hair dyes differently. 30 min was based on snob life hair. You should set a timer for 30 but keep checking on it every 15. and keep it longer than 30 if you have too - no longer than 1 hr tho.
