That’s really gorgeous for a sword of this nature. I was looking the blade tediously and wax extremely impressed. I’m going to check these guys out:) thanks for the review!))
@@StudioGDT I’m looking forward to it. I have been watching some of their shorts of cutting and assembly and this company can rival some of the more competitive brands out there!
Thank you again! Many times I may be repeating myself because company As Tsuka may be identical to Company Bs, and I don’t want to get boring, so I’m trying to improve the editing while not being distracting or detracting from the product as a point of respect for the manufacturer
Very well put together sword for that price range. Solidly done review. Will be checking out more of your videos. Cool to see Matthew Jensen checked it out as well. Very knowledgeable guy.
Thank you for stopping by and checking it out. It is indeed a crazy good sword for the price point. The further back you go with the videos the poorer the quality lol.
What I like and may stick with them is that the owner is also a swordsmith. He has trained in Japan and stands behind his work. The ito wrap is tight the Saya fit is just right. And they import from Japan Honoki wood
There is definitely a different feel to the product. I also like that they experiment with things like their “antiqued” Tsuba. It wasn’t my cup of tea but I appreciate experimentation a d trying to offer their unique spin.
I have ordered three swords for customers here in Abu Dhabi. They are well-balanced and are fairly sharp. You can order the blades to sharper or ask for light to medium traditional targets. Which are good for iai and tameshigiri. Or dull iaito blade :) I plan to work with them for higher grade premium swords. Between in-house and imported from Japan :)
Bought 3 swords fron them, Hon is a masrer in sword, all amazing piece of Art!! The ninja sword they made are perfect! Also, their blades are perfectly straight!
Custom blade type, dimension, and Hamon style along with a large selection of fittings and wraps. Good stuff. I’m waiting on a Unokubi Zukuri now. Already have a nice wakazashi and ordered a tanto a few minutes ago.
@@Moldugas I love my Unokubi from them so much, I will probably order another but Differentially Hardened. I think they have a very high price to performance ratio.
Well done, man. I grabbed a shinogi from them last year and it's been great. Well worth the effort of remounting. Hong is very easy to work with. Feel free to post some cutting vids if that's of interest. Would like to see this thing in action
It’s definitely the in the plans along with Iai. Iai will probably be first due to lacking a stand and proper targets but it will indeed be done. And thank you!
This is the sword and I HIGHLY recommend it www.dremsword.com/products/41-1095-high-carbon-steel-katana-japanese-samurai-functional-battle-sword-unokubi-zukuri-black-and-brown
I think they look really promising. I hope they continue to refine there tsuka work, for me thats the main draw of ShadowDancer, as having a typical lq factory tsuka replaced with something closer to the nihonto aesthetic on this side of the pond is often more time consuming and expensive than ordering the sword. If they can come close SDs Tsuka structure they will be a very nice alternative,
@@StudioGDT You’re welcome! I’m very interested in some of Dremsword’s higher end offerings seeing how well this one was executed. The tachi they have for around $1000 in particular look really nice- I love the stark look of the full black or white same with no ito.
Great video. I really love the Tsuba, Fuchi and Kashira on that. I did a destructive test of a Dremsword, and was thoroughly impressed: th-cam.com/video/1veIQw6n1Mw/w-d-xo.html Dremsword's stuff is a tremendous value for the money.
@@StudioGDT Thank you so much. Really enjoying your content. Very, very surprised at the value that Dremsword offers. As affordable as they are, before customizing mine, I wanted to see what it could handle. After the Unokubi Zukuri broke on the brick, I promptly ordered a replacement, and did all the custom work I wanted to on it.
I ordered a katana L6 from them. Thank you for your review.
Glad to hear it! Something I have not tried yet!

Great review! Really appreciate the meticulous camera angles, as that's often overlooked. What a great value for the $ here with Dremsword.
