EXCELLENT VIDEO!!! I learned more about the SOG knife in the first five minutes of this video than I have ever known before! I just bought this knife and like it very much! It's my second SOG. Got the Pillar on sale at Midway and was HOOKED on SOG. I didn't like the ridges on the elite either. I really like your carry set up also. That's a great idea! I enjoyed your video very much... VERY educational.
I strictly carried folders for basically my entire life, but recently in the last couple years have gotten into fixed blade knives. I'm kind of obsessed with them now haha 😂
BRC, great content. I love that SOG Seal Pup... I wish that doggone thing was USA made! You have any suggestions that way? Love that carry system, love the grip on that blade. What are the laws to carrying a SOG on you when you’re out riding on a road trip?
For USA made in this size category the Gerber Strongarm is what you want. It runs around 70 bucks with a nice modular sheath. Another slightly larger option is the Ontario SP-2. Thanks for watching and commenting 👍
Oh yeah, and the State knife laws are all over the place. Many states are not as lucky as us Wisconsinites where we have no knife laws. Unless you're restricted by a court order or you're a convicted felon you can carry any size blade and any manner you wish in Wisconsin. And local cities cannot enact stricter ordinances either. Thank you former Governor Walker! 🇺🇲
I used to edc one when I was younger I carried mine when I was 16 until 18. I used to use it as a throwing knife and one day it finally broke. I bought a new one but it was shit. Found out they are now being made in China. If I buy another one I will try the seal pup elite. The Chinese ones are crap. I believe they used to be made in Taiwan.
Don’t cross the border , blades longer than 3 inches illegal on public property in Illinois . Chicago proper it’s must be smaller than 2.5 inches . Lots of restrictions... I prefer smith and Wesson body guards for Illinois
Good to know. No knife restrictions of any kind in Wisconsin (unless you're a convicted felon or under some specific legal order.) Doesn't matter if concealed, open carry, automatic, length.

Thanks! I recently picked up another SOG on their 50% off sale...It is the Kiku fixed blade, another awesome offering!
Great video, bud! Appreciate the tip about the combat loop as well. God bless!
Best review, and thanks for the mounting tip with the combat loop
Very nice. Is usually carry one of several folders but do occasionally carry a fixed blade. Thanks for sharing. Keep posting EDC on your channel.

@@BrewCityRider now I’m going to have to go pull out my fixed blades and give them another look!

If it was good enough for the Navy Seals it’s good enough for me!
