Have one in a 2500 for inshore. It has done well . A lil heavier than same size Daiwa BG and a bit more retrieve resistance. Put it on the newest Penn B3 parabolic 7ft. Well worth the extra cost over the regular B3 for sure.
Might not be the smoothest or most innovative reel, but my word it is damn near bulletproof for a boat fisherman (not sure how it would hold up in the surf), the gears are strong, the drag is impressive for the pricepoint and it just handles the abuse. Great review my friend.
