So far , the "orb" highlight above enemies head has been used for Skills that require a certain condition on the enmies to work. For example, being in "cull" range (they are below a certain % in their live) or being vulnerable to stun (it depends on the skill). In this case, I think that this is an indication for BONESHATTER. If I remember right, that skill causes and AoE explosion if used on enemies under a certain condition.
Boneshatter Attacks enemies with a melee Strike. The Strike will cause a Heavy Stun on enemies that are Primed for Stun. Upon causing a Heavy Stun it will also create a Shockwave, dealing a large amount of damage in an area. +2 to Melee Strike Range Does not cause Stun buildup
@@alvideos2145 no i dont mean the red outline. The "highlight" keyword is in many skill descriptors and is used for example on the monk when an enemy can be heavy stunned by staggering palm (indicated by a yellow mark on their head) or culled by killing palm (indicated by a blue mark on their head). The game says these enemies are "highlighted" In this footage it says boneshatter can heavy stun when enemies are primed. I think "primed" means the yellow mark when playing warrior.
I know the game will be faster at endgame but I do hope they keep a lid on it. Path of exile turns into vampire survivors at endgame and now with D4 redesign its the same thing. I hope PoE2 becomes an ARPG with an actual combat system at endgame and not just run at 10000% movespeed and shit out 100000 projectiles.
Yea i agree, i think there are A LOT of people that want the fireworks though, and so there might be a lot of community pressure on GGG to accommodate. This is one reason i like d2 a lot. It is still intelligible on screen even when you have a maxed out character. A good action game doesn't allow for one click and everything dies on screen. But, on the other hand, the potential to engineer a build this powerful is a fulfilling endeavor in games like this. So...we'll see. I personally got years of playtime out of d2 by playing tons of builds and not worrying about what has the fastest clear speed. If PoE2 becomes zoom and boom, then i probably will still like it a lot for it's systems and action, and just choose not engage in the content that lets me blow up the screen . We'll see!
@@off-meta-michael Yeah I get that. My thing is they invested so much time and resources into an action combat system with dodging , active blocks and parrying. Hey Vampire Survivors is fun, yeah but I agree they need to tone down craziness like in POE 1. Maybe limit the maximum of number projectiles for example. But the thing is that is what makes POE 1 so fun because players kinda have a "eureka" moment like thousand projectiles on screen. It is fun and games until your computer cannot handle it anymore and dynamic resolution kicks in makes the game blurry lmao. Also while it is fun, visual clarity suffers

A few months into early access it will be like getting an expansion with the added acts and classes. Then youll be excited to play the game all over again
When the enemy is highlighted with red it is because when you are using keyboard + mouse to control the character, the enemy highlighted it's when you target it. The same apply to WASD, it is like when you look the enemy you want to hit.
@@OLODOOM i was referring to the yellow orb on their head. i still feel like warrior needs a bit more movement+damage skills. There will eventually be a Marauder class that has axe based skills and a Duelist that has sword skills. Warrior class is mace skills. There isn't technically a barbarian class for PoE2 unless they reveal some kind of ascendancy that fulfills that archetype. But that being said, it seems like the barbarian from d2 is kind of fractured into those 3 classes for PoE2
you can hear the character say things like "no mana" when they try to use a skill without it. you can also see the mana flasks on the left side of the screen to see how often they are chugging them. didn't seem like they had mana issues with warrior in these two showcase. monk runs into mana issues more it seems based on the other playthroughs i've watched. you can always watch the original footage too. just search warrior poe2 gameplay and scroll through.
I think all of this looks like absolute garbage. It's like they took poe1's combat, added some sliding to it and said it's souls like, lmao. Seeing the same animations repeated over and over just like poe1 is heartbreaking to me. It all looks low effort to me as a player of souls games this doesn't hold a candle to the quality. One of their main focuses is to fix melee. they've said this in multiple interviews. So i doubt it will be the case that no one can play melee effectively.
