Hey If possible can I have the source file of this please. As I have to perform a couple of other tests on this. Would be thankful if you share otherwise have to design it first and then the rest of stuff.
    Thanks

what are the conditions in your fluid domain?

The actual filter is pleated, thus having a surface area at least 3x more than the model you created to act as the filter. How do we account for this fact thus making the simulation more realistic?

The idea of the porous media is actually precisely for this - to input the overall performance of something like a filter as terms in one of the flow resistance models, so that the geometry being analyzed does not have to feature individual pleats or holes. Porous media has various models built within the material definition (shown at 1:58) to represent the overall performance of a filter in terms of flow resistance and orthotropic effects if any.
To use a porous media feature it's assumed that the flow characteristics of the filter media are well understood, either from specifications or through experiment. Then those characteristics can be represented in the simulation without actually having to model the localized details (although they are present in this video as a visual only)

How did you cap the cone itself? I can't set a static pressure when i set my filter medium to porous

There is actually a hidden cone-shaped lid component made with a revolve feature on the outside of the porous media.
Another approach would be to setup this type of analysis as an "External" analysis.

@@hawkridgesystems Thank you. Can you please elaborate on the cone-shaped lid component? Many thanks in advance.
