I have gained a 1.2 mm sagitta on an 8 inch mirror with an 80grit grinding but I want to get a 1.721 mm sagitta. Do I have to grind more with 80grit or can I grind with 120grit?
@@astrokhan I wish to make an 8 inch f6 telescope mirror with a 2.121 sagitta , do I grind that entirely in the hogging out process or get as close as possible then continue grinding in further grits?

Continue grinding with 80 grit until you reached the desired sagitta

@@vaniakeane3054 try as close as possible. Once you reach the desired sagitta, you can switch back to 1/3 CoC with narrow W to smooth out the curve.
Hi! Do you grind the secondary mirror yourself too? or you get it from somewhere?
Currently I am getting it from another optical manufacturer but planning to make it myself in future
@@astrokhan I have heard that we can use the optical flat glass from photocopier machines to make the secondary mirror, is it correct?
@@irfanrashid2114 I heard that too. However I am not sure from which part of the photocopier it is extracted and what size it would be.
