All sub brands of BBK electronics ( Oppo, vivo, Realme, OnePlus), even Samsung also getting green lines but the problem is predominantly seen in OnePlus.. Actually the "Only true solution is not to do updates any kind even security patches"..

Actually the problem is not with Oneplus only. Brand like Samsung also have the green and pink line issue.
It's not a software issue in my opinion me and my so many friends using OnePlus 11r and other models with OLED display it happens when you use a very tight cover or your device is getting smacked or getting hits or heating if you heating your phone too much then it happens in OLED display phone it's common to every OLED display phone avoid heating that's important
i agree with you. My vivo S1 too has fully purple layers spread out. I wear tight black pants. Maybe this is the reason.

Heating, bending screen contribute to oled architecture to make micro cracks and output such lines. Also UV protectors may cause such thing if glue end in screen of after removing protector with force

I guess it sometimes depends on usage patterns as well. Some people always use phones at high brightness which can cause permanent damage to the amoled which can be a reason for green screen

I would like to share about OnePlus brand!
So yes that true OnePlus is offering life time screen replacement and repair service but surprisingly there are no screens or display available in the market so there's no use of the life time free service. On the other hand in the voucher as we can see on OnePlus 10r there is additional discount of 4500 is given. It's bcoz i thinks the sale of 10r is very poor bcoz 10r should be an upgrade of 9r but seems like 10r is a downgrade of 9r as well as 8t. Plus there is no alert slider in 10r which make it worst as OnePlus is known for the "OnePlus alert slider " thing! Camera optimization & quality is poor. And there are so much disadvantage of 10r that is the reason they have given extra 4500rs for discount on 10r.
Seriously OnePlus was a brand earlier now its just like oppo vivo realme.
So much disappointed!

1+ 10R is a shitty phone. Got mine in September 22, screen started flickering after the new update and got green, pink lines which turned into green, pink blocks. And the whole screen turned green. And the service centre in Chandigarh didn't entertain the claim.

I have Motorola edge 30 Ultra. Just after 15 days when warranty was over, a green line appeared OUT OF NOWHERE on exactly the same place as yours (left side of the screen where it starts to curve). Asked the service centre to repair it, but they're asking 14K for the screen replacement bcz the phone is considered out of warranty.

Any update makes the phone very hot which makes parts of the display hot which then damages the display leds in that area and causes green lines or purple lines depending on the kind of display led affected.
The answer is that both Android update as well as oxygen OS update can cause this.
Mera OnePlus 9R hai. Green line ka issue hai. Phone kwal 2 saal purana hai and maine 37999 mein liya tha. Its a manufacturing defect but they are only giving 19000 for my phone. 10R ke reviews kharab hai or 2 saal hogye usko launch hue. I want to upgrade to 11R or ab aur 21000 pay karne padenge? This issue doesn't get fixed by software update. It's a permanent hardware issue.
Your are misleading i am using OnePlus 11r for 5 months there is no issue as green line, Don't mislead anyone about OnePlus.

Green line happens because of excess display heating so if you use 11r carefully, there will be no green line

im a technician and the method is use to update these phones without having greenline stuff is disconnecting their lcd flex when the update loading starts. it works and i did it from X60 pro to x80 pro also on some oppo, oneplus, iqoo, and samsung s20 to s22 ultra

Mine happened ....this similar way...the second time of the appearance of a green line...the flickering kind...and it got brighter and became permanent....but the first time ...I got a green line line sudden glitch....both the times it occurred right in my hands...my phone realme x7 pro was not over heated or doing any high demanding tasks at that time ..but somehow the green line issue occurred

I been fixing all models with green line problem. And all of the customer failed to inform me the their device they have dropped it a 3times or more. And the fix is :just a new LCD replacement. And the green lines is gone. And btw get a shock proof rugged case. Case closed.
But why a lcd screen, isn't it a downgrade?🤔 As it comes with a high quality 120hz amoled screen...

Only phone and charger is necessary nothing more than that..... But condition is that your phone is in working condition, show the line on the screen and they get IMEI no. Of the phone by dialing and taking screen shots of your phone screen which show the imei no... That's all about... You got a voucher in your gmail with in 12- 24 hours...

Cant fix with software updates. If so companies won't replace it for you now even in phones are without warranty. The reason for the lines is over voltage that get into tha display . Companies push a firmware update with the software update don't know why my guess is some oled screens shown symptoms of green tint in alll over the led panal and they try to fix it and its backfired with even big pain in the ass they better fix it by them selfs
