Yeah I have a hard time believing that so many people own this crappy knock-off thing and that they would actually go on TH-cam to search for a review of it and agressively defend it.
Yeah 100% its common practice particularly with chinese made products. They scan the net for bad reviews and bomb them with good reviews or insults and same for spamming good reviews on the products sale sites.

I am actually on the market on buying a "fitbit like" product to help me measure steps and stuff. My phone is just too unreliable to do that at this point. I'd love to see some products that you might recommend based on your experience with this sort of crappy tech companies. I appreciate your approach to this. I won't be purchasing this product. (I probably wouldn't have bought one anyway) I find the concept of the "smartwatch" interesting but flawed. It reminds me of successful failures like the l.e.d. watch (late '70s) and the calculator watch (early '80s). They all have the flaw of draining the battery at a rate that makes them unviable.
I am genuinely dissatisfied with this review. I own 10 of these and only 6 of them were duds. This is the best watch on the planet. It's always there for me and it even babysat my children when no one else would. The watch is perfect, and QA is tighter than a pirate's noose. Thanks for review. Not sure if this device uses it or not, BUT there are optical bio sensors available that do give blood pressure info without need for pressure sensing. It seems unlikely that this budget device would include this technology, but the technology is now out there. The sensors can detect information in the vessels just beneath the skin. I would imagine that price would come down and that one day would be out there in budget fitness trackers, as said, not sure if the tech in this tracker includes this latest bio sense device, Ive tried the exact same item you reviewed and agree on the strap issue, for the price (UK £18) I found it ok, perhaps just as an introduction to buying higher quality item, my display is pretty bright and BPM monitor is accurate, the rest of the features work well and (could be coincidence) but blood pressure on mine checks out (average) with recent readings from GP, but as said, maybe just coincidence, ill keep using it till it gives up, ill let you know how long it makes it! thanks for review
Do you have a link to any information about the optical-only blood pressure sensor, because I wonder if you are actually talking about an optical sensor that is in development that *does* still require the subject to press their finger against it. I am not aware of any optical-only technology, but interested to hear about it, if it exists. If your band is showing you the same BP as your GP's machine, this coincidence indicates that your BP is behaving normally and predictably. The band is not *monitoring* your blood pressure in any useful way - just remember that

I have held one of these in work as my colleague of mine needed to charge it. The screen brightness was ok on that one so your probably correct of the QC. Personally I would stick with the big brands like apple, Samsung and Fitbit if your looks for s smart watch / health tracker
This watch it actually pretty good. I’ve had mine for 1 year and 4 months. The one problem I have is every so often my watch will say it’s still changing once it’s full charged and on my wrist. But other than that I like it.
I agree with you, we are all different and perceive things differently. I looked at the screen and thought it was dim, maybe we are getting old and blind..hahaha. Usually putting abit more cash down does buy better build and quality. Maybe with age comes wiseness
On course it did not work appropriate right. You must to recommend it for peoples more over a month and leave positive reviews in order for working. You had locked sample setting. I can unlock permanent your settings and sending you the free reimbursement if you send the filling fee via Western Union. All is be needing to start if you say 'ok'
Well, I own one of these things, and yeah it's basically useless. The step counter is inaccurate by at least a margin of 10%, the sleep tracking features are completely borked, you don't actually want to enable the "activate on wrist raise" feature as it'll half the already shitty battery life due to false positives, the blood pressure reading are obviously bogus as I get the same readings when pressing the watch up against a muffin, the notification feature only works with a very specific set of apps none of which I use, when the minuscule battery dies it forgets everything, even the time, the strap is uncomfortable and leaves marks on the wrist, and having to tear off the wrist strap every single day to charge it is difficult and inconvenient. But hey, at least the screen is bright.
Do radioactive shrimp gro bigger and tastier? I just need to know if the hype is worth having my hair fall out. Trust me... I do love shrimp enough to loose my hair.
I have a different but similar one and you get what you pay for. The screen is totally almost unreadable in bright daylight but that's to save battery life which will last roughly about 2 weeks or more. So you popping the band off and popping it back on repeatedly was like simulating charging it for many years basically. And generally they are perfectly fine for giving you an average of how many steps you walk and your pulse. and I bought about a half a dozen aftermarket bands for about five US dollars. If you want one up to the Quality you're talking about you need to spend a hundred pounds or more or a hundred or two hundred US dollars not ten pounds again you get what you pay for. For the most part I totally agree with your review you're just expecting way too much for 10 pounds. Love your show especially weird stuff in a can.
I agree - not much can be expected for this price, and I think that's the problem; much was promised. I think that's the issue that sticks with me - the promise, not the product.
I had a fitness band that costed me 15 euro's, and it was a really good one, it was small, but i have small wrists so it actually fitted me well, it had a bright screen and the quality of the band was good, i retired it because i bought myself an apple watch, i never looked at another watch/band since
This is the best smart watch I've ever owned. It's also the only smart watch I've owned, so. And yeah, the blood pressure thing is not accurate; it said my blood pressure was 120 over 78, when it was 158 over 100. And yes, I need to go to the hospital now
I bought a mi band 2 for 10€ in a iper market last items bin. And I was kinda happy about it. Until an app update magically wiped out almost 1 year of data ( I don’t have my sleep analysis data and steps anymore) but my objectives reach and heart rates are still there...
Yes, with the app you can link the watch with your phone via Bluetooth and it syncs time automatically, and by holding the button you can change it from and or to military time. This is at least the case with my watch
I have a very similar looking fitness band that works great but the battery life sucks..I used it for almost a year until I got tired of charging it everyday...I still think it was worth buying because it introduced me to fitness tracking for very little money..I do agree though..spend a little more if you can and get a quality device..If you can't afford a new one do what I did and buy one second hand.
I suggest a Fitbit. They may be expensive but they’re actually useful. To be fair it doesn’t tell me my blood pressure but it does say literally everything else. Not to mention if you buy the more expensive versions you get more features and water proofing.
LMAO!!! I paused at 3:55 & asked my wife if she knew what LMGTFY means, she said no. My guess was Let Me Get That For You but it didn't make sense in context so I asked her to google it for me LMAO
I used to volunteer in a charity shop and this is exactly the king of thing we always got. shit chinese stuff that worked okay for about a week and then either failed or the person could no longer overlook the things like poor screens (they are always poor screens because ultimately they are rejects of rejects that have been scavenged from the bins of other manufacturers), buttons that you need to press with the energy of 1000 suns in order to get it to do anything or simply because the smell of that mothball plastic they use never goes away.
This bracelet reminds me of the 10 dollar smart watch I bought off the Wish app a couple of years ago. The watch wouldnt take my SD card or my SIM card. The apps wouldn't do anything, the battery life was a day and a half best charge.
4:30 I wouldn't really call such app wanting storage permissions normal (0:52) - it doesn't actually really need it for saving settings & stuff but everyone can consider each permission ok to be required for each type of apps - i wouldn't trust that app from the start either And also correct me if theres anything that would require such permission
I got this and my biggest problem is that all the trackers are hopelessly inaccurate. Step counter, sleep monitor, heart rate, blood pressure, the device pretty much makes up all the data as it goes along. Eg I walk 20 steps to the kitchen and it counts 60. I sleep for a few hours and it misses it all. It said my heart rate was 93 when it was actually 59. And of course the blood pressure monitor is just a scam. The only thing it does fairly accurately is tell the time. Even that has to be synced regularly or it falls behind. Totally useless.
Shrimp, love your work, to the "Nays", A fool and his money are soon parted. They really do need to justify their expense no matter how bad a choice they made. Just look at Boris, doh I'm doing it myself 🤣
I had one of these watches and it stopped working after about two months of usage. I’ve tried charging it multiple times but the screen won’t turn on. I also have the app but that makes no difference. Also, the strap got very dirty and the purple started to fade and turn a black in colour. Would not recommend at all.
I got one of these but i was buying it to reverse engineer, when i was done playing about with it i gave it to my girlfriend and she likes the heart rate and steps counter (i got lucky and my screen is bright) the main clock screen on mine can be changed by holding the touch button for a few seconds

You mean the screen is bright??
Do radioactive shrimp gro bigger and tastier? I just need to know if the hype is worth having my hair fall out. Trust me... I do love shrimp enough to loose my hair.
Atomic Shrimp: *_Perfectly Reasonable Argument_*
Poopy Heads: *YoU'rE lYiNg!!!*
I had a fitness band that costed me 15 euro's, and it was a really good one, it was small, but i have small wrists so it actually fitted me well, it had a bright screen and the quality of the band was good, i retired it because i bought myself an apple watch, i never looked at another watch/band since
I got a similar clock, for 100Lv and it has an app and a heart meter and everything, and a nice display!
Go to settings: choose another screen, there are also very light ones (including christmastrees) :))
Sounds like you are describing a different device
@@AtomicShrimpIt looks exactly the same. I also have an option to to time the wristturn .
Ignore the haters I love this channel, the pink looks great on you
Is their any way to change the date and time ?????
Yes, with the app you can link the watch with your phone via Bluetooth and it syncs time automatically, and by holding the button you can change it from and or to military time. This is at least the case with my watch
I bought this and it went straight in the bin. You were spot on 👍🏻
I think your test method is brilliant! Keep that system up.
Good follow-up. Nice 👌
I hate my Fitbit! >:(
T C which model?
@@Jeto inspire
T C hmmm why do you hate it?
@@Jeto battery issues mainly.
LMAO!!! I paused at 3:55 & asked my wife if she knew what LMGTFY means, she said no. My guess was Let Me Get That For You but it didn't make sense in context so I asked her to google it for me LMAO
Slightly ironic, eh? 😋
I have the exact same thing, I bought it at a wholesale store listing all the claims on the website, for CAD$15
I can't even get it to connect to bluetooth, any tricks to getting it to connect ?
So, not all things in life are worth saving money on.....however, you could be saving 15% or more on your car insurance by switching to Geiko™.
I’d like a review on your new kilts!😉
You did All well and i liked your Re-Review a lot!
This bracelet reminds me of the 10 dollar smart watch I bought off the Wish app a couple of years ago. The watch wouldnt take my SD card or my SIM card. The apps wouldn't do anything, the battery life was a day and a half best charge.
I enjoy watching these videos while eating canned American hotdogs and chatting with James Smith from the Mumbai branch of the IRS.
OK!
You should try growing mushrooms in a bucket. That would be a cool video.
4:30 I wouldn't really call such app wanting storage permissions normal (0:52) - it doesn't actually really need it for saving settings & stuff but everyone can consider each permission ok to be required for each type of apps - i wouldn't trust that app from the start either
And also correct me if theres anything that would require such permission
Those text boxes look familiar, you wouldn't happen to be using Camtasia would you?
If it is the first watch you buy it is the best watch you ever owned
I love this guy, I love how he proved everything he said. you're just brilliant dude.
Wow thank you never has the owner of the channel liked my video thank you again and i alredy shared this video to my friend so i guess that kindaaa helps ur channel ?
What app need to download for this watch?
Can't believe some of the comments you received. Honestly, if your IQ is in double digits, this isn't the channel for you.
Keep up the good work mate!
The average IQ is between 90 and 110 though ;)
Oh, SNAP!
Way to put your detractors (aka, idiots) in
their place. I watched the original video and it
was a highly informative, quality review, just
what I'm looking for in a product review.
Keep up the good work.
U cool!
