Sonic Youth is AWESOME. The music is great. The message is clear. The noise is perfect. The musicianship is top tier. And Kim is soooooo beautiful... even the veins in her hands are sexy!
Dirtiness in sounds was thought as a cool attitude in the 90's but in a case picking up one tension chording, it can be processed in the AOR and also Grunge both musical genres. Is such a musical distinction important in 2023? I don't think so. A musical style represents just a fashion. Talking about fashioning is so boring.
