Stanton boost is not bugged. The card itself has to be from the years 2010-19 (or based on one of those years in the case of the Hyper series)

The LIVE Series, ToppsNow, and Season Awards cards won't work because they are 2024 cards. Legend cards don't work unless the card is based on the player's stats during the 2010-2019 decade, and there are only two ways to know that... the year printed on the card if it is a rookie, veteran, breakout/standout, all-star, etc; or you have to do the math on the hyper series or other legend cards without the date based on the age printed on the stats page of the card. If the card says he was 35 on the card and his age 35 season was 2020, sorry, even if he played every season from 2010 to 2019, brother ain't getting a boost because the card is considered 2020. ❤ Loved the video, but this is just another reason to shake your fist at SDS.
What I'm expecting is that the Stanton boost will be massive towards TA guys since a lot of them are classics from 17-19

Loving the Devers + Kershaw (wildcard) boosts. Used it to wreck the CPU in conquest, TA S2 and mini seasons. Make sure you slot your primary SP as SP#3 to avoid opposing lefty SP's. You would be surprised how many lefty hitting/74 fielding cards there in the game! Can get tier 3 for both capt boosts!
How do you exchange the cornerstone captains? Stanton won’t show up even though I picked him

I think the seasons idea could work if they gave us more core cards like live series collection cards by division, or the season collection rewards, it feels that grinding becomes less rewarding later in the season which sucks because you have to play late in the season to even get the main path cards.
piazza has a fantastic arm, good blocking, and surprising amount of power for his stats. He ended up being my primary catcher for most of last season til posada dropped.
For some reason Martin Dihigo (who plays catcher) has 86 speed but for some reason doesn’t qualify for the Corbin Carroll boost. He’s a primary SP with 86 speed just like Shohei. Shohei gets the boost but Dihigo does not, wonder why?
Cause his original position is pitcher
So is Ohtani, who qualifies for the boost

I wanna use that Stanton card, but can't use the captain boost. Im doing what you showed which is Castillo boosting live series tier 3 and Mattingly hitting captain for tier 2 Yankee boost.

i was goofing around with the devers build out teamed with the braves reliever captain card and HOLY SMOKES as a braves fan you may love it. i dont have strider or acuna and the team was nasty!

What’s the point of season cards? I never really understood it
Main point is season collections. All about the grind 😅
I think captains should be a historical boost. Like stanton should boost any players that played 2010-2019. Dansby should boost anyone who has ever played for the braves. The exception would be stat based boosts obviously.

I like collecting new cards for a new season. It keeps me playing the game more but they should let us start the new season with one wildcard.
You should try the 90 captain jeter boost with hitting/ pitching theme team captains, I’ve been loving it to start the season

Devers Kershaw boosts the already boosted devers so he’s double and believe turns him to 95 or 96. Gerhig double boosted 99 and Casas 89 to 98 also Palmeiro 85 to 95. Also Schneeman card double boosted can help get the Castellanos card while affinity play

Dude the Stanton boost is crazy good with a lot of the TA chapter 3 guys from season 1.
But you can only use one wildcard for this theme team

As a more casual and no money spent player, I appreciate the season change and card change. Makes me feel like I’m not horrifically behind and can play online for a bit.
Why wouldn’t you fill the bench with players that max out the captain boost? On the devers in particular

I'm enjoying the reset so far. It's fun to use some of the higher tier live cards I didn't have early in S1. My only gripe is I wish the overall reset wasn't so harsh. I think if they ran S1 up to 94,95 and started S2 there it wouldn't feel so jarring. Also think TA should have started at 91 to give more incentive to use them over most of the decent live series cards you have if you've played the game with any regularity.

I used TWO cornerstone captains grinding today. Live Series Captain Castillo and then Wild Carded Arenado from S1. Take a look at it. Ozuna and Yordangus have maxed out contacts and the power is OP for this early in the Season.
That’s pretty fire dude. I actually was rocking Devers, but my core cards are a bunch of fat lefties bats. So I was thinking of wild carding Kershaw
I know there’s people who haven’t finished live series so this issue won’t be for them but for those of us who have this new season seems not worth it to grind since our live series cards are better than the TA cards especially with the captain boosts. I prefer the season long power creep and hope they go back to that

Like you exchanged him in team affinity? He gone, you’ll have to submit a ticket on sds website to see if you can get one back
The issue with contact boosts is clutch ratings.
In my opinion the reset gives me a reason to play the game and enjoy the grind, and even though there’s still a skill gap (minus the ridiculous foul balls 🙄) I feel it levels the playing field out a bit.

Them being paralleled doesn’t make them eligible for a boost tho, if you’re talking bout him being on the speed team their base card has to meet the requirement

Although i hate sets and seasons im having more fun with season 2 then the end up season 1 since i hate 99’s being in the game so early. Building my squad and working my way to a 99 team is the end goal for me so being able to have a full 99 team in June will never be fun to me

The starting over doesn't really bother me that much but yeah grinding all season to finally get a card with like 2 days left in the season and then not being able to use those cards again is not cash money.

I like seasons honestly. My only complaint is the wildcards are a little too far down the xp path
