Agree, UK should not need to pay as London is Devolved with separate body the GLA TFL which Blair set up this wasteful body to resurrect the GLC. I read that the intention is to have all buses be zero emissions within a decade or sooner. I don't think buses need to operate and run on a principle that they are always filled with passengers. They shouldn't miss bus stops unless there are issues on the route affecting them stopping at a stop or (not sure if it's policy but I've seen it plenty of times) if there aren't any passengers looking to come on or off. If you cut the service then you risk people who rely on the service not being able to get around.
The bridge will have to be extra reinforced if it is repaired as the now electric London busses will weigh twice as much as the previous model busses ,therefore being more costly.
