The advantage to your style of making videos is being able to see the challenges of a project as they come up, sort of like they would if I was making the project myself. For example, in this video it was the struggle with the plates...you resolved it but we were there to watch you work through it. I watch you often now and learn a great deal, but at first I was a little “put off” by your demonstrations because I was used to seeing other TH-cam crafters who edit and only show what worked out perfectly. AND, by the way, I never would have purchased several Diamond Press items from HSN if I hadn’t seen you make them first. Keep up the great work...

I remember when I reviewed the Cricut Joy, there were tons of pitfalls and people appreciated that I talked/worked through them. It's really important to understand what "might be the issue" with a program like Design Space...so when someone blows through it "perfectly," others will probably get stuck and not know what to do. It's almost a guarantee. I also like to show what it takes to get a project done, and it seems that's what people really like to see. Anyway, thank you!! I appreciate your kind comment. (:

Talk about timely! I just received this today and had already cut out, but not assembled for a card for my best friend's mom's birthday! Her favorite flowers are sunflowers, so wishing I had ordered the "sunflower" textured paper from CC, but did not so instead using the Local King sunflower stamp and die as embellishments. Nice to see a different "take" on it, so thank you! Oh and you look as "bundled up" as I am! LOL!!!

I have found in the past if you put a thin layer of your adhesive on the spine it will be more likely to lay flat. Otherwise the adhesive is on either side “tugging” keeping it from laying flat inside the card. Hope that makes sense.

I love the way you decide what you want as you go. It’s reality for most crafter’s to start with one idea, and find something they like better as they go. Ha! I was in the path of Eta. I left because I live in an RV here. Most of the others here, stayed, but I was in Katrina in MS and that taught me. Everything was ok when I got back. What a beautiful and fun card! Keep doing what you do, just the way you do it! ❤️
Of course, but if a person is using thicker cardstock (like pearlescent or metallic types) just trying to fold it by hand will make ugly creases/cracks. I just wanted to get people the info needed to make a nice score and about where to put it. The thin paper I used could definitely be folded by lining up the ends, no problem.
I'm glad you change it around as you go. that's your creativity and don't let anyone take that away. If they don't like the way you do it there are plenty of other places they can go on you tube. Keep up your good work!

That's so kind! I try and include anything/everything that's pertinent...you never know what actually helps someone out. As far as "preparing..." it's not my style. I might have an idea once I lay my eyes on a kit/product, etc...but I create as I go. I prefer that, that's how I've always done it! I even tell that to the companies who approach me for reviews, I'm like "Are you sure? I'm just at home and don't do anything fancy filming and editing wise." They are so receptive to that, which is great. I will leave it to the companies themselves to make amazing, highly edited, and rehearsed videos, that's not me. LOL! TYSM!!

While I appreciate the creativity others have, when their videos have edited out any mistakes or mishaps and/or don't show how they played around with different ideas, etc. I feel less inspired because I will never just sit down and create the perfect card in one fell swoop. You give a lot of confidence to me and those of us who mostly just want to have a lot of fun crafting. So you keep on doing you!

I have the extended plates for my Empress and have only used them once! LOL. I am not fond of really big dies. Your videos are super helpful because you cover great points. I like hearing your thought process. There is a saying, “you can’t please everyone”, so do not worry about it. I am always impressed on how you are able to figure out new dies and projects.

I have this die set..but the directions say use a 5 by 7 card....it doesnt work...ruined so paper..so what is the size of your card stock to put the pop ups inside...Im confused..nothing new...lolololo help !

Use a ruler for folding , makes it easier to fold and you get crisp folds .

I don't ever want someone to leave my video thinking "I could never do that." Intimidation is real. I love watching videos where someone makes a gorgeous, pristine, card/project, who doesn't? However, have I ever tried to replicate them? Not once. LOL!! Too scary. I'll leave that to others. (:

I have the extended plates for my Empress and have only used them once! LOL. I am not fond of really big dies. Your videos are super helpful because you cover great points. I like hearing your thought process. There is a saying, “you can’t please everyone”, so do not worry about it. I am always impressed on how you are able to figure out new dies and projects.

I have this die set..but the directions say use a 5 by 7 card....it doesnt work...ruined so paper..so what is the size of your card stock to put the pop ups inside...Im confused..nothing new...lolololo help !
My card base is a 5 x 7. That should work. I show step by step what I do, I hope that helps.
