Thanks Vin, probably skip this one. I have the 15YO and to be fair it lacks a little of complexity along with the integrity. Right now my tips for an 18YO would be Tomatin or Ancnoc, both 80-90€ here in Germany (the Tulibardine 18 is 97). Both are 46% and NCF and natural ;)
Thanks for the honest and thorough review. In my area these just became available in a couple of stores at a price of $108 before tax. I may consider it now as 18 year old scotches just keep going up in price.
I picked this up for about $97 USD and quite enjoyed it. However, for about the same cost, I find that I enjoy the Glen Moray 18 much more. Still, if I find myself with a spare $100 burning a hole in my pocket, I wouldn't mind replacing this one someday. It is a nice sipper. The box is really nice, but ridiculously huge. Cheers!
I would indeed like the box on my shelf, dang it not being kallax friendly though! Easy Sippers often get overlooked, sounds pretty solid this! Cheers.
Thanks for reviewing this Tullibardine, Vin. Been a while since I've had a Tullibardine and £90 to try a new one.... it's a lot of money. So don't know if I will be convinced already. Slàinte mhath
Hi Vin Tulibardine is a distillery thats always passed me by, never had a bottle or a sample, don’t know why though. The 18 sounds nice though. Slàinte Vin.
A couple of good whisky buddies really like Tullibardine, so I was curious about this. I have had very hit and miss experiences with Tullibardine, but I have only had a few. This sound good though. Cheers :)
Vin, interesting review. Only had their 228 (red wine finished?) and was OK but not for me. At about the $US 100 range, enjoying the Glenmorangie 18 year with nice spices. Cheers!
Given that Tullibardine is a bit niche, its a shame they didn't push the boat out and release this at 46%, no colouring and non chill filter. Would really help elevate the brand away from supermarket bottlings.
Nice one Vin, sounds like you liked it. Of the Tullibardines I tasted none of them wowed me or even left an impression. With Tomatin these two distilleries are in my meh and forgettable category
I have not tried the CS actually no. I've not seen any either. I will try a 29year old CS G&M Tomatin next month so if that doesn't change my mind I don't know what will :)@@NoNonsenseWhisky

It's a nice easy going dram so well worth it if that's your bag. As you say, it's all going up and up!

Hahah I thought of you as a fellow kallax owner.

That's fair. A discerning whisky fan such as yourself will likely find it at a festival 🥃🥃

Yeah I get that. They passed me by for years. It wasn't until Ros started working there that their online presence really started to gear up

Rene! Great to hear from you! Any tullibardine fan is going to like this I reckon

I think the 500 was probably my favourite of the standard core range

Can't argue with that at all

I get it. I'd love to see a couple of high abv releases from them.
Have you tried Tomatin CS?
