  • He’s the seven-time world champion, and, to many, the greatest snooker player to ever pick up a cue. Ronnie O’Sullivan sat down with Shane Hannon for an extensive interview to mark the release of his new book ‘Unbreakable.’
‘The Rocket’ candidly discussed the ups and downs of his life and career, his love of running, and his absolute obsession with the game of snooker since he first encountered the baize as a kid.
O’Sullivan also touched on his favourite world title, his most satisfying 147 maximum break, the importance of finding a perfect cue, and coping with fame.

That's how to do an interview. Well informed, allows the guest to speak, uses humor and familiarity to make guest comfortable enough to talk about difficult situations also leaves watcher wanting more thereby promoting the book.

Great Interview Shane💯, Love you so much Ronnie! I watched you on TV from 1993 rarely miss a match , never seen you live but its my number one bucket list thing to do, I promise I'll go the Crucible and witness your awe inspiring talent. Don't worry about your exit strategy from the game, you're still at the peak of your powers and can win many more world championships even past the age of 50 or 60, I can see you beating Fred Davis record being 64 or older reaching the one table setup in the Crucible theatre. I can relate to all your struggles in life, you give me so much joy and inspiration in everything you do and say, I would love to shake your hand someday, you're a beautiful person, Thank you Ronnie good luck and god bless you 💚

    Fantastic piece!
I'm hooked on snooker for years, and this was really illuminating from Ronnie.
Shane - brilliant searching yet empathetic questions... I especially liked the "natural talent" question, how it could belittle the work he has put into the game... Great spot!
For me, he was the most naturally-gifted, but he kept it going. It's the longevity that has come from him constantly upgrading his technique that makes him the GOAT - aside from the total championship wins. Right up to today, Jan 2024, with two out of the three Triple Crown events won this season, with the World's to come yet...
