My neighbors 3 big dogs constantly get into my yard and THIS is the very reason I’ve had to call the police on it … because I have young children and am terrified that those dogs will harm my kids… my yard is completely fenced but the dogs keep digging under to get in. They bark at us and do not look friendly at all. When I sent an officer over to them they said “these dogs are harmless, they wouldn’t hurt a fly” but it’s cases like this that keep me awake at night… that poor baby, how scared she must have felt in her last moments . My heart breaks for her family 💔😩
I'm a responsible, trained & socialized pit owner, BUT I also have loose ones in my neighborhood. My advice, and you don't have to take it, handgun, permit AND firearm insurance. I'm not proud typing this either.
Unfortunately, Animal Control & Police won't do anything. You'll have to eliminate the threat yourself until more laws are passed. With all these attacks, something needs to be done Asap! It's insanity!

On the afternoon of Halloween 2016, I took my 7-pound Papillon dog for our usual daily walk. We walked in the same direction every day for over 3 years. Then suddenly, as we came to a street corner, I stepped off the curb and the next thing I barely heard was low wet growls. It was two Pitt Bulls who had broken out of their yard at the house that was on the corner where I was at. Both of them grabbed ahold of my tiny boy. The attack took about 5 minutes before a man in a truck saw me standing on the side of the road screaming and waving my arms. He stopped and banged the side of his vehicle. It scared them off. Eventually, they were caught and euthanized. I was left devastated much less left with a horrible reminder that it happened on Halloween. These dogs were true predators. They hardly made a sound. I never even heard their feet hit the ground. I will never forget that low growling sound they made. The main thing is we walked past that house every day for over 3 years and we never even knew they were there. My thoughts and prayers go out to you little angel. Your family also. I hope you have your angel wings. 💜💜💙💙💚💚💛💛

I am so sorry this happened to her. Every time I see anything like this, I see my wife or my daughters. I was on the elevator alone which is only 6ft. wide 5 wks ago. When the door opened, standing there was a gigantic, unmuzzled, wide mouth, massive head, tiger size Pit Bull Terrier with it holding the other end of the leash. When the monster saw me, the bloodthirsty beast immediately attempted to attack me, but it pulled the beast back. They both got on the elevator. I never want to, but I thought I was going to have to put the monster down that day. I am always prepared to do so. Of course it said what it always says. "He doesn't bite." This was approximately 30 secs after the monster attempted to attack me. I do not listen to it. I know everything about Satan's beast including it's maulings and deaths. This particular monster's record is quite extensive. My wife is terrified of dogs and Pit Bull Terriers. She gets behind me, holds on tightly and cries when one is near. She has every right to be and to do so. They are not me. Unlike man, dogs are not living soul. Dogs are beast of the field which means by nature, they are wild. Beast do what beast do whether two-legged or four-legged. Pit Bull Terriers are not dogs. They are actually bloodthirsty monsters that were produced to search, chase, attack and kill their prey as quickly as possible. Monsters do what monsters do whether two-legged or four-legged. It is very unfortunate that their lovers somehow seem to either not know or forget this all together, then learn or are put in remembrance of this the very painful way. If I ever desire to have a pet, I will purchase me an aquarium, then put some goldfish in it. Til this day, I have not seen any reports of anyone being bitten by anyone's pet goldfish.

Tina is a member of our family now. We've smothered her with love, attention, training, and have taken her around other people and other dogs since she first came into our lives. To own a pitbull you should be required to receive professional training to prevent maulings and maybe even pay extra fees and insurance; they are much more capable both mentally and physically at killing other dogs, children, and adults than every other breed

First off, all my thoughts and prayers go out to the family and friends of this poor angel that was taken before her time. As a parent, the thought of this makes me physically ill. But I am the proud owner of a putbull. I rescued her from side of the road when she was just a few months old. I WOULD HAVE NEVER THOUGHT... I'm a million years that I'd ever own a Pitbull. Tina is a member of our family now. We've smothered her with love, attention, training, and have taken her around other people and other dogs since she first came into our lives. I trust that dog with my 11 year old daughters life. Why? For exactly that reason... she saved my daughter from being attacked by another neighborhood stray, and walks her to the bus stop every morning. Everyone is entitled to their opinion about pitbulls... but ours is one of the most caring, loving, protective, and loyal animals I could ever ask for.
That being said. The dogs owner should rot in jail... or suffer the same punishment that poor little angel did.
PLEASE EVERYONE... whether it's a Chihuahua or a pitbull, give your animal love and respect and attention. It might save someone's life one day

For her to leave this world in such a way is tragic, and that's putting it lightly.
