  • What you see in this video is the forest of Boswellia elongata in Homhil PA but, it is not the only damage left behind by the rare event, a second strong cyclone followed Chapala shortly, Megh, which hit Socotra on November 8th, 2015.
    Megh caused more devastation to wildlife, houses, boats, palm tree plantations, roads, water distribution networks and costing human lives, throughout the Archipelago (inland as well as in the coastal areas). Thousands of people were displaced from their homes (eg., Abd al Kuri were all inhabitants had to leave this smaller island of the Archipelago), several injured, countless boats and houses rendered useless.
