Slaves already had multiple rebellions in Jamaica long before Haiti ever tried it, Jamaica also had free slaves long before Haiti ever did, they are called Maroons. So whether you like it or not, some of these ideas were brought to Haiti by Bookman, and played a major part in those wars... because he was able to inspire them by pointing to the many rebellions that were already executed in Jamaica 🇯🇲

Bookman was not the first. There was Makandal and others before him.
