I live in Charleston South Carolina and I stack 1/2 and full sovereigns due to their low premiums. I get the halves for $15 USD over melt and the full $30 over. Includes proofs. I find they’re the best value and ideally that’s what weight stackers want. Love the History of old coins, much more interesting than modern bullion. Cheers
Yea its such a shame as I like the design on some of the unique reversed we have had but the color just puts me off stacking them in numbers. I much rather have Queen Victorias because the color is better.

But they are coming up with a silver sovereign 😳.I’ll let you know Watch the to hear the price 😖🤑😵💫😳. You can nearly buy a half sovereign. I also prefer the yellow ones.
I was very bad with money spending more then i made since i got into stacking as my last resort to save some money im doing great, already 3 half sovereigns 3 1/10 ounce gold Britannia 10 ounces of silver (not going to buy again too much tax) i strongly suggest to people with bad money mentality to start stocking
Most of mine are over 100 years old so they are slightly lighter from wear and tear. I have checked my modern ones though and they are very close to being exactly half.

Buy shield backs they always go up in value ,,remember buying g them 5 for a thousand not to long ago ,now u be lucky to get 2 😮

Hatton Garden metals sometimes have grimey sovs. Atkinsons and Chards usually the best.

I do like to buy sovereigns when my LCS has them they are a lower premium gold then say the CAD or US gold and just as nice if you ask me.
