This episode aired at the peak of my life. Theres a point, above all others in your life, thats the absolute best, and 1973-1980 was mine. America was so ridiculously awesome at that time.
I happened to be driving through San Diego today 7/11/23. I noticed the "King's Inn" hotel sign off of I-5 and immediately remembered this great episode. I pulled off and spent some time walking in Claude Akins and Frank Converse's footsteps from nearly 50 yrs ago. The lobby and pool area layouts are still relatively the same, except for some updates. I am so happy that I happened by this place. I love "Movin On".
It was a great time period. The 70s were the peak of America, especially after 75, when America got out of NAM. I was just a kid, but Americans of all ages, were so much happier! Where there's freedom, there's happiness, as well as danger, but mostly happiness! I didn't get to visit Diego till 1989, it was still beautiful even then.
Wow, this is good! I'm about 1/2 way in now, exciting. Cant wait to see what Will comes up with. I haven't watched all of them yet but watched the show as a kid. I wanted to be a truck driver :)
@@sonnypruitttrucking @ the 8:50 mark funny moment when Claude Akins says i'm Sonny Pruitt and that's my trailer. Firefighter: Where can you be reached Pruitt. What do you mean where can i be reached, i'm standing right here.

O-H-I-O Porter greetings 🇺🇸 Had never seen this episode. The 1st time I’ve seen their crew play a different part…Fats. I sure enjoyed this one though. It showed some accurate parts of trucking that I can relate to. Good stuff! My day has been made even better because I’ve seen 2 episodes today. I noticed that the mud flaps were in front of the tandems when they dropped the trailer, but showed back up later. Was there only 1 Sundance? Good stuff.💥🥰✌️
Thanks , good eye on the flaps, you are right! I have now idea why they had them in front like that ??? What do you mean by 1 Sundance? Ya this was a great episode , kinda like a mystery detective show lol.
I can't help but wonder if this show wasn't paid for by those who do not like owner operators? In almost every episode if this owner didn't just happen to have a lawyer along for the ride. He would be in real trouble. That said. That's exactly what bail bonds do. 10% non refundable in cash, plus the entire amount as collateral. The concept of innocent until proven guilty is lost long ago. I enjoy the show. But it does document the downhill slide.

Great episode. Hard to pick a favorite, but this is a top 5 for me. Thank you for sharing.🙂

@@3373-g8z Cheer up, it will be again after the ‘’24 elections and commence broad spectrum remedial operations.
Man…..’ol Claude had himself a first class pompadour!! Matched up with a set of 70’s pork chop sideburns! A true tonsorial legend!!
And Will’s mustache :) Great episode!
Really enjoyed this episode.
Huge Claude Akins fan here.
Thanks for the upload.

@@natureboy1313 lol ya that was good!
A little known fact: The actress who played Eunice (Jenny Sullivan) was also the real life daughter of the actor who played Zach (Barry Sullivan).
Father daughter in real life in the same episode as Father, Daughter?
@@sonnypruitttrucking Yes.
Rosie Grier had a reoccurring role in this series as a trucker with his partner in a rig (GMC crakerbox) called pig pen if i am remembering right....

Amazing takes, great series
Such a good episode, felt so bad for our guys!!
Ya this was a good episode. Who would do such a thing to Sonny & Will !
@@sonnypruitttruckingYea, but at least they were not trying to be killed like David Jansen and Keenan Wynn were in 1972's trucker movie "Hijack".

Who else thinks the ominous background music throughout this episode was, I swear, lifted from a “Batman” episode??
Haha your right lol, I swear I’ve heard that on some of their episodes, haha
I was thinking the same thing.
