I live on a reservation in North Western Mn...there are a lot of us here who are not native but there is also a Mennonite church about 5 miles from us and a small Mennonite settlement in that area...they have beautiful farms and take such great care of them.🥰 love the blue crochet throw...just beautiful ❤
I’m up in South Dakota and we have 5 newer Amish communities within a short drive in all directions (South Dakota, Wyoming, Nebraska) Plus a good size conservative Mennonite community about 60 miles north of me. Waiting for stores to be available but there are two different bakery’s. One in a home and one in an old drive In restaurant. More than welcome here!
Good Morning Tessie, Sisters, Brothers, and Friends, Wish you all a wonderful blessed Sunday filled with Gods Joy and happiness :-) God Bless You ! Love you all :-) Keep Smiling be safe :-)
I love the blue crochet piece and the gingerbread ornaments you got and I know you can use those jars that was so thoughtful of her really nice I love your hometown it’s beautiful have a wonderful weekend ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks for capturing the drive through the beautiful countryside.....much appreciated. I'm amazed that the leaves on the trees in this video of your journey were so green, as I always imagined that November would be a gorgeous display of fall colors. Warmest blessings.
Hello Tessie thanks for the drive. I like the store so big oh how I wish we had one here . We don't see the Amish or mennonites on anything like that. OH what a thoughtful gift..Angela what a beautiful blanket. Thanks Tessie GBY and all.
Good morning, Tessie. The countryside was absolutely breathtaking. My husband and I also met at church youth group! We met when I was a freshman in high school and began dating when I was 15 (he was 17)-been together ever since. 😊
I always love your opening music. So inspiring and uplifting. Amish and Mennonite stores are so clean and neat and organized! What is the story about "no rubber tires"? Hope there are no termites in that wood! Beautifu, gifts from a generous viewer! All useful things especially the jars! 😊❤🙏
The Amish are a very religious people. They believe that the bishop of their community has the final say on what is allowed in their community. Back in the old days, they were not allowed to have anything that the military would have, rubber tires ,so they were very much against the military. They were also against the wearing of buttons on their shirts, which is why they use straight pins. The Amish and Mennonites were so deeply persecuted that they denied themselves anything that reflected their persecutors.
@HomesteadTessie I knew about the snaps and hooks and no buttons and pins, but had never heard about the rubber tires! It makes sense now! Thank you!❤️😊🙏

I think you are supposed to put pictures of you and your family's faces in those gingerbread ornaments. So the face of the gingerbread person is the face of a family member. Cute gift!
Hi Tessie, thanks for another amazing video. I am in central PA as well and I just love that market and being able to shop at Amish or Mennonite markets and get such great food at very affordable prices.
Thank You Tessie💕I Love your videos💖 it brings back memories of the area. We lived nearby in BucksCounty. I wanted my parents to let me live with the Amish😊 We live on the West coast now.. Thanks Again💕❤️🌹❤️
I know there are some Mennonites in Missouri but it's been years since I have been back. But, they would drive their tractors to Walmart pulling a pickup bed with a camper shell on the pickup bed for the family to ride in. And I thought it was so neat to see price stickers on the items. Where I live, it seems like everything is digital.
What town is this store in? You all are sure going to be warm this winter with all that wood. Happy mail is so fun! That blue blanket is beautiful. See if you can find out the pattern and share it please.
