Once, I mailed my daughter a check in a nearby town. She didn't receive it and had to leave to return to college (from Virginia to Michigan) after Christmas break. I had to put a stop payment on it. I had to sign a paper that basically said, we'll take your money to stop the payment but if we accidentally cash it you're responsible. I questioned the manager, she said, it doesn't say that. I read it to her, she said let me call you back. She did and told me it was an "industry standard". I also had to pay to wire the money. That check never did surface.
Yes i think so it's just for that so they don't be responsible for that because some people don't even have money or anything in the coat but they claim it it's in their to make money and sue the owner of the store or clubs whatever and honestly if i had a store i would put up that sign as well
Even with that sign, if somebody, for example, went to the coat check area when the attendant wasn't there and stole coats, they're still responsible. It's like putting up a sign saying "not responsible for underage people drinking" Signs don't absolve you of stuff like this
OMG! Johnny Love! I frequently visited his establishment. He was at my bachelorette party at a bar. He was huge in SF, but I never left a coat or anything behind.
This looks like it was filmed in the mid 90’ that same coat would be $2-3000 now. That’s why people buy high end leather and fur coats, to wear them out and show them off. Of course it depends on the establishment but a high end club, theatre, bar, hotel, it’s the management and the management’s staff that are responsible for keeping an eagle eye on the guests coats, not the guest. It’s not a ‘free service’ either, it’s included with the cost of the service, that’s who you’re marketing to, that’s the type of person you want to attract to your establishment, many people easily spending a thousand or more on dinner, drinks, show tickets
I would never have taken a really expensive coat to be put in a coat check. There were always people upset at clubs because things were missing. I think here in the UK the signs were different and said something along the lines of items are left at owners risk.
The same as FREE QUENT. AND FREQUENT ARE TWO DIFFERENT MEANINGS OF THE SAME WORD WHICH IS WHY THEY ARE PRONOUNCED DIFFERENTLY AND YOU AMERICANS WOULD KNOW IF YOU SPOKE CORRECT AND CLEAR ENGLISH.
Don’t make me dig for part 2. Why can’t y’all put the next episode in the description? Smh team Judy! Update: well I can’t find it but I’m sure she left it at her own risk, but because he offered, he paid half the value.
Your five coats you brought for 200 ea totals a thousand dollars. She chose one hood coat versus five mediocre coats. The establishment lost her foot. Pay the lady.😢
You are naive. Women buy handbags that are over $1000. Fur and leather can be very expensive. No one needs to spend that. It’s solely to feed their own ego.
Civil Law; my queen that went by the name Paget Brewster and my otha Queen that went by the name Taylor from Meet Me room were broken and entered illegally.
100% the club’s fault.
nobody stole it, their own workers gave it to someone else without actually checking the tag. thats on them, not her.
I agree
1:29 LMAO! I think the defendant just lost. The sign lists everything, EXCEPT GIVEN AWAY TO WRONG PATRON!
Exactly!
You can't offer a coat check or a valet service and absolve yourself of responsibility.
It doesn't work that way.
The sign is standard legalese for any number of situations.

You can't use a disclaimer to avoid negligent conduct.
It sounds to me as if the sign refers to objects that are in the coats. Their employees do need to give people the correct coat and they did not.

No lol. That’s not how that works. Objects in the coats 😂
Negligence. That isn’t on the sign.

Signs don't absolve you of stuff like this
They sound like an advertisement for the club when it’s not about the coat. 😂
Not lost or stolen,.... Given away.
That sign was pointless. The coat wasn't lost, stolen, or forgotten due to customers. The club themselves gave it away
OMG! Johnny Love! I frequently visited his establishment. He was at my bachelorette party at a bar. He was huge in SF, but I never left a coat or anything behind.
Here's a tip - two actually. If you have a $1000 coat, don't check it at a night club, and don't take your eyes off it. Duh.
Well actually Fine dining restaurants, country clubs n yes bars have coat checks. And many carry insurance on lost items.
I can think of better things than spending it on a coat.
This looks like it was filmed in the mid 90’ that same coat would be $2-3000 now.

Frequent there and occasionally are two separate meanings‼️🤔
My Exact thoughts!!!!! 😂
“Frequent” is a synonym for “visit” so her statement isn’t contradictory.
Thank you captain thesaurus

Glad you said it so I don't have too 😂😂😅😅
If they're so busy every night bringing in money, then pay her the price she paid for her coat that they lost.
It’s their responsibility when they provide a coat check employee!
Imagine some dishonest person took a coat that wasn't theirs
"I frequent occasionally." Uh, what?
It means, "I go there occasionally" (it's the verb "to frequent").
I wouldn’t bring a 1k coat to a nightclub prob would dress a little down but whatever they still lost it
Defendant is playing dumb
My favorite judge
don't coat check a $1000 coat
In the clurb we all friends
They're still in business. Just looked it up. Lol
Great policy 😂 what a moron
The jacket wasn't lost, stolen, or left behind. Easy case.
In regards to the $100,000 that was stolen from me using my Capital one Credit card. It was spent on Marijuana and then illegally distributed.
Johnny Love’s
“I frequent there, occasionally “ isn’t that contradictory
Yes, she was looking for a fancy way of saying 'go' but chose the wrong word.
HAIR IS OK TO GO DANCING THE BOOGIE BOOGIE.
She told myself.

Just wait for them upload it. Gosh

This episode is from the 80’s I assume? $1000?
Girl if I spent that much I would wear it all night 🤣!

They should be responsible for it cos it was trusted to them.
