    The amplifier by which all others aspire to sound like and the amplifier I’ve always wanted to own. Kondo is king of amplifiers.

    A product where the sum is greater than the parts. The man was a genius. And the sound is sublime if only I could win the lotto!

    I don't hope that the amplifier will give sound on only one channel like this video!

    I was a little skeptical at first.
    A friend in Sydney invited me to his home to listen to the ONGAKU for an afternoon. Initially, I was underwhelmed. I left his home 8 hours later realizing that I had to unlearn everything I knew about "hi-fi".
    ONGAKU was nothing short of a revelation. ONGAKU changed the way I listen to recorded music.

      I’ve heard a number of their amps and like you I was underwhelmed and even hours later I was underwhelmed. There is nothing magical or revelatory. Unnecessarily labour intensive using unobtanium bling to come up with unique selling point. They are good but nothing better than a good Marantz, Yamaha, NAD, Naim, Rega...and blindfolded you wouldn’t be able to tell which is which.

      You dont expect to hear the sound of kondo through your computer? And compressed TH-cam sound? Anyway this video isn't sound clip that shows how Kondo sounds. Or maybe you dont know that?

    If you have this much money, donate to your local symphony or opera house/chamber music society. You will get ultimate audio reproduction, plus a nice seat away from home distractions. Oh, and you might get to know some of the artists and interact with them.

    Besides the medical field, where one can find the "Mother of Placebo," there's no field to be found as Placebo as in Hifi! First silver is an excellent conducter, so is copper. As Hifi fanatic, thanks to music, Hifi is one of my big huge loves over 60 years, I have heard better amps than the Ongagu! Which ones? Swiss Physics (solid state), Glenn Croft's Mesmeris (based on the famous Williamson design). And my 3 Watt Single Ended 84EL amp connected to, transmissionline speakers, filled with the Audio Note Silver Units, blows away the Ongagu anytime. Costs, well a tramp living on the streets can't afford it!

    I just checked the current price for PURE SILVER 10 KILO BULLION,.. price is 10,000 uk pounds , even if it cost another 5 grand to buy tubes pio caps shindoh resistors etc etc this is serious high end audio , but serious high end greed imho, ok, quality and build are exquisite, but I know many guys who could source the silver and get it prepared for opt transformer use, copy the ongaku circuit use identical parts tubes etc , and build it with equal or more passion and pride at 25 k!!!

      No one pays full retail price for high end gear do they? The Far East and Asian markets which is where this level of hifi is aimed at buys at a fraction of retail and dealers can be haggled down by 40%

      The only people who make comments like this are people who have absolutely no idea how manufacturing processes work. There is much more to building an amp then just a bill of the raw materials. I'd imagine most of that silver is used in the output transformers, and constructing custom output and power transformers is extremely labor intensive and requires a highly specialized skillset. Please don't make snide comments like this if you have no idea what you're talking about, thanks.

    Using only specially aged Italian silver in it's transformer windings. What has this to do with accuracy of sound reproduction? Piss all but it sounds like good snake oil to sell to the rich and gullible

    • @mxmmlsk
      @mxmmlsk 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      altered silver doesnt change in sound anymore! all that means just that they use silver that already has oxidation, this way it wont change „much“ anymore. to use „italian“ silver is first a nice homage! but also a trustfull source for good quality! such as many people rely to cardas cables when it comesvto copper (bec they literally are the only cable producer that own their own copper facility) its not snake oil but a very well thought decision, to max out failures, changes & be quality proof. hope that helps 😊🤝

    How do you get colorful from an amp? Lol he's selling and I'm not buying with his poker face. This amp is stuck in time and doesn't even come close to a Mcintosh.

    • @xfloodcasual8124
      @xfloodcasual8124 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Mcintosh makes foggy flat sounds for badly recorded rock music to sound better. Play a finely recorded piano or cymbal and it turns to mush.

    If I knew about electronic, I would copy this amplifier using cheaper material, and let's compare the result. I am hoping Chinese will copy this and sell for $2K.

    • @xfloodcasual8124

      The main quality of this amp is actually the materials, not as much the design. Its like selling Leica lens without Leica glass.

    This ridiculous pile of waste will sound identical to practically any well designed and built inexpensive amplifier. It has the mundane task of amplifying mere audio bandwidth. Emotion and envy are very clouding drugs too readily swollowed by fools.

      I do not need to hear it. I do not even want to hear it. I do not need to taste poison to know it could kill me! That guy is hysterical. All that guff about silver (which does nothing of any audible merit over Cu) and he plays an LP! It's just so ridiculous. Stop drooling over this stupidity. Monery to charity - not shonks!
