Let me correct you 1 beat the modded part of the game 2 get a bedrock pick 3 start playing minecraft the real way and take the compact machine with u to remember your accomplishments
This modpack sounds great if written as a half-horror story. You regain consciousness. Your body feels numb, and you realize you are lying on a smooth, hard surface. You try to roll over, and bump against a wall. Reflexively you jerk the other way, and bump against another wall, harder this time. The pain from the impact shakes you fully awake, and you open your eyes. A wall behind you, a wall in front of you, and nothing inside except you , an odd handheld device and a small box. Your heart races. You scramble up, almost crushing the device in your blind panic. The device barely gives you enough light to see, but you can put together that you're stuck in some sort of closet. You wonder how you ever got into this situation, or who would do this to you. You try pushing, punching, screaming. Nothing happens. You put your ear to the wall, and hear either distant rushing wind or the sound of blood pumping in your ears, you can't even tell. You run your hands on every square inch of the floor, ceiling, walls, hoping to find a handle, a latch, anything that will open a way out. No such luck. You stumble around in a daze, overloaded with desperation and panic. You don't even know how this tiny room still has breathable air, but it seems to only prolong your suffering. And that's when you finally decide to examine the strange device. It gives a few enigmatics beeps and boops. Terms you aren't familiar with, but it apparently tells you to point it at a "compact machine" and it will...put you inside it? With no further idea, you point the device at the small box and press the button... A weird sensation takes you as the world warps around you, and in an instant you find yourself in a situation not too dissimilar from the one you just left. Another tiny room, but at least it is large enough for you to stretch a bit. You attempt to collect your ideas. This must be the way out. Again you check everywhere, looking for a door, a window, anything. No such luck. Again desperation sets within you. Desperation becomes frustration. FUCKING TRAP, you think, LET ME OUT, and with all your might you punch the wall. The searing pain travels through your knuckles and into your wrist, leaving your entire forearm numb. You scream with rage and pain in equal measure. Your vision flashes as the overwhelming pain takes you. You feel trickles of blood running down your hand... And looking down, you spot a small pile of dirt. Where did it come from? Did it shake loose when you threw that punch? It doesn't look like the weird metal your new cage is built out of. You stand there for a good half hour, waiting for your hand to stop aching as you gingerly examine the substance. Definitely dirt, nothing remarkable. You eventually come to the conclusion that it's the only thing you've done so far that seemed to do anything at all, so you try to adjust your poise to avoid nearly breaking your arm again, and wind up for another punch. And another, and another. The dirt piles around your feet. It feels...natural, relaxing even in a way. The dim light of your shrinking device lets you almost believe you are standing on a field at night. Eventually you make a tiny pile, about a foot deep. Relishing the soft, loamy texture, you find yourself idly raking your fingers through it, doing what you can to calm yourself down... ...and you find something hard. It's not a mote of dirt, but...a seed? You look at it, puzzled, wondering if you have definitely lost your mind. And yet...perhaps you're feeling cute, but you bury it halfway inside the dirt pile with a gentle pat. Hoping you will wake up from this weird dream, you drift off, the exhaustion from your physical and mental labor finally catching up with you. You're not so lucky. Again you wake up in the cage, to the sight of your unmarred walls and dirt pile. You are starting to feel the hunger and thirst. And yet...something is different. A tiny plant has sprouted from that seed, bearing small, unappetizing seeds. You uproot it and look it over. The stem is a wooden stick, just the right shape to grip it. You taste one of the seeds, and sure enough they seem edible, if not very filling. You don't know if you'll have any time to worry about starving to death, but this new development is at least keeping your mind occupied. You grow your dirt pile and replant your seeds. It takes up most of the space in your prison, confining you to a fraction of your space, but watching your plants grow is the closest thing to fun you have done so far in here. Eventually you scavenge together enough wood to make a simple tool, which you use to extract more dirt from the walls. You even start knocking some rock loose from it, despite the fact you are doing no apparent damage from it. You quench your thirst with a slurry you squeeze out of the plants' leaves. It's chunky and it tastes dirty and grassy, but you're not puking it up so it should be hydrating you enough. You realize you'll have to take care of your waste sooner or later, but looking at your tiny impromptu crop field you find you already have the answer. Days go by, as you try keeping yourself sane with small toys you made out of your plants and rocks. You have figured out how to exit the second cage via the small device, but no luck. You do definitely know the first cage is only separating you from the outside world with only perhaps three feet's worth of wall - but those walls also resist any of your attempts to damage them. Worse still, they don't yield any resources. Yet the absurdity of your situation gives you some kind of calm determination. There must be a way to harness a material strong enough to break down those walls. You are finding all kinds of odd materials from the cage's walls, surely there must be a way to strengthen them. But alas, your space is at a premium, and inside of that box there is barely enough space for the farm that keeps you alive. ...wait a minute. THE BOX. Cautiously, nervously, you poke and prod the box, trying to find out how it works without accidentally breaking it. It seems absurd to you, but it seems to be made of simple components, the kind you yourself would be able to craft by hand. The odd alloy that comprises its inner workings is unlike anything you've seen so far, but you have all the time in the world to figure out what you can make out of the materials you can mine from the box. Your mind finally has some stimulus. You have a short term goal. You will unlock the secrets of this box and find a way to break the wall. After all, you now have unlimited time. And might be on the right track to obtain unlimited space.
This game isn't something I can complete while remaining sane . That's why I watch your videos and get entertained by seeing you gradually become insane.
imagine some researchers do a social experiment and lock some guy in a small space and he just starts building nuclear reactors out of dust on the floor
5:51 Hello, Fusion researcher here: nuclear fusion doesn't just happen at high temperatures, but can also happen at lower temperatures if the pressure is very high. That's why the sun's temperature is relatively low for fusion reactions, as it is also very massive hence the pressure inside of the sun's core is much higher than anywhere in the solar system. To replicate the same fusion reaction on earth you'd need a higher temperature, then, as you couldn't possibly simulate the gravity of the sun on earth. Also, Tokamaks aren't the best type of fusion reactors that exist today, the Stellarator concept or Laser Confinement fusion reactors that work with pallets are much more efficient. Still, even the ITER will work with a variation of the Tokamak, so it may not be as bad. Just some food for thought for your next playthrough - I don't quite understand this game, I didn't know you could build fusion reactors in Minecraft? Very interesting. I think the constant bell sound gave me tinnitus.
If you have more questions I can send you my ~40 page research paper on commercial fusion. It is in German, I hope you'll be able to read it if interested.
Definitely one of the strangest modpacks I've seen (in a good way), really happy to see the sequel, really like the newer style, keeps how funny it is and gives all the important things to know quickly
I recognise the song played at 21:21, I think it's from a game where you try to get a ball or something to reach a star. It brings back memories and the song makes me nostalgic.
As someone who played through CC I will say that don't listen to common users in the discord. Minecraft is a sandbox game. If you had fun doing it your way that's all that matters. There is no "correct" way to play a sandbox. I have been playing with mods since late alpha early beta, and I can say without a doubt the mentality of "doing it the best way" has optimized the fun out of modded minecraft. The dev of CC is aware of this and I feel like he really nailed putting the fun back in.
you've inspired me to have a more vanilla flavored play style (& its so satisfying) I'm not using mouse/inventory/crafting tweaks no journey map (except for waypoints I finally have reason to make a clock) no vein miners no automation if I can help it (expert packs require so many steps 😭) thank you so much keep up the good work :)
Fun fact: Fusion reactors do not actually explode, if the magnets or something stop working, then the superheated gas will rapidly cool down. No explosion= no uh oh
I absolutely loved where the ending was going until it was interrupted. It just felt so satisfying to watch him break free and the cut to black as he fell and all you could hear was the splash in the water then the sounds of the night as well as the perfect song playing as he looks around in the night staring at the sky, the grass, the animals, the trees, and then going to punch a tree so he can start living his life is just absolutely brilliant and personally I would have preferred the ending right there but the video is absolutely amazing nonetheless and the grind is nothing short of respectable. this person is an amazing youtuber and i look forward to many more videos

(Also the name was inspired by the movie Over the Hedge, so that's pretty funny.))

So I see you too are an engineer. Bro these must take so long to make, the amount of memes and legitimate engineering theory you slam in there for an actual split second is amazing, I don't know how it's so entertaining, keep it up xx
as someone who has played this pack 3 times I can confidently say, you really would have saved time by making the coke coal into blocks, automated wood when you got glowstone instead of wasting that gear on the resonant upgrade using the phytogenic insulator, and you could have enchanted those pickaxes with unbreaking idk what you were thinking. These were just a couple tips further than what you learned afterwards. My current playthrough has only 2 reactors at the moment, one is a 36k rf/t and the other being 250k rf/t and I've already escaped a while ago but I just have too many resources like my 2 million uranium grit that I just can't waste.

i love the way the captions didnt let me down. When he spoke fast the captions showed whatever he said
Just realized that I have actually reached the point of forgetting that tts isn't your actual voice. huh.
I absolutely love this editing. Please keep on uploading
Steve making literal neutron fluid just to get glowstone: 💀
as someone who has played this pack 3 times I can confidently say, you really would have saved time by making the coke coal into blocks, automated wood when you got glowstone instead of wasting that gear on the resonant upgrade using the phytogenic insulator, and you could have enchanted those pickaxes with unbreaking idk what you were thinking. These were just a couple tips further than what you learned afterwards. My current playthrough has only 2 reactors at the moment, one is a 36k rf/t and the other being 250k rf/t and I've already escaped a while ago but I just have too many resources like my 2 million uranium grit that I just can't waste.
You are a king for having a music list in your description.
