Well Bob screamed, but he quickly corrects himself, screaming and giving harsh punishments for accidents/fuck ups, will only make your kids hide it next time and not feel open with you.
Totally true. I got an unfortunate habit of lying and concealing things because I was absolutely terrified of my mom finding even the smallest mistake of mine.

Bob's Burgers may not be my favorite adult cartoon of the 2010s, but it definitely has my favorite family dynamic in an adult cartoon of the 2010s! You don't see the Griffin kids fessing up to something like this. I'm so happy Close Enough is going for a more positive dysfunctional family dynamic.
Family Guy, American Dad and even the Simpsons do not show a family but five people living together of which two have occasionally sex if ever. All three of these families barely act as family contrary to the Belgers: They work as family. Bob and Linda are compassionate about their marriage and their children's, you see both of them bonding with their children (or struggling to) and the siblings are always having each others back - sometimes for protection, sometimes to place a knife in. And the dialogues aren't stiff, it's more like people talk
Sincerely, I love the Belcher Children with all my heart (Especially Louise) It's as if they inherited the best of their parents but multiplying their level of madness by 30. And even if Ron's moments are short, he loves it too.
I know this isn't about putting things off til later, but it really is a good example of why you should try to avoid doing it if you can. By themselves, Hugo and the kids did not cause a fire. It was the buildup of four things coming together at once that solved it. Same way that if you put things off too much, thinking it's not a big deal to do this or that later, it can end up creating more work for yourself in the end. If you have the time, just do it.
Aside from the amazing cleverly written lyrics, and the impeccable character writing as many have pointed out, the catchyness, the performances, editing, everything but HOLY SHIT THE VISUALS that go with it go so hard for no real reason. Like it feels like studio music video levels of choreographed and animated. Everyone on the crew should feel so proud of what this episode is: so much more than the sum of its parts.
obviously we love all the little details the animators and creators take so much care in adding one of my favourites for this episode is, if you go back and watch the actual scene where hugo throws the rags, you can see one fall behind a box behind bob, which is the one bob missed and that caused the fire
Just noticed that in Louis’ song, as Louis is rooting around under her bed, she throws several pairs of junk and clothes at the wall, but delicately places the two toys that were based on her favorite stuffed animals. Awesome little detail.
Of all the stupid immature things Hugo did this really made me angry because Hugo pretty much destroyed Bob’s restaurant and he did this and didn’t even bother him for Christ's sake. He wasn’t man enough to tell the truth. He just wanted to be ignored so he would just leave without taking responsibility in fact, three kids almost took the fall for this asshole. He shouldn’t just pay the insurance For the damages, he should lose his job for reckless, endangerment, and negligence more than that Hugo, denying it makes him a total loser not to mention it makes him an asshole. who wants to blame others for his own problems. He should also go to prison for arson.
This is the best Bob's Burgers song ever. I especially like Louis's verse. She wanted M80's bottle rockets, roman candles and sky missiles or even dynamite. She didn't have any of that stuff. I couldn't stop laughing.
Ron is the Hero of the story, he finds out what really happened and strong-armed his jerk partner, and two confessing, and making sure that the Belchers are compensated.
You'd think that Tina would be the first of the Belcher children to admit that she had a hand in causing the fire because of her inability to tell a lie (Unless, of course, it is beneficial to herself)
If I were Bob I'd call the police so that they'd arrest Hugo for Arson, he had great motive he hates Bob and would do anything to put him out of business if he thought it’d make Linda go back to him. Obviously it was an accident but I wouldn't mind seeing Hugo get in trouble with his boss or the fuzz
On the bright side, all three of the Belcher kids accepted responsibility for their actions.
