My son was 29 years old. Graduated from college. Was working for one of the largest agencies in Texas at the time of his passing. He never gave me any problems. He was very sweet and humble. The words in this song are perfect. He got to travel to Hawaii, Colorado, Canada, and Spain. He was going to travel to Japan. He had friend in other countries. He traveled alone sometimes. I miss him so much. He was my only son. I have two daughters. My oldest daughter was in the car with him. She was injured, but she is currently healing.

I've just found this and it's just coming up to my dad's birthday next month... he lost his battle with ptsd and other mental health issues. I will never forget the day we found out. I know it was 8am as I was getting into my school uniform when the police knocked on the door and got my mum to go outside with them. She told me after school and for 9 years I believed it was a heart attack, it wasn't until I was 17 when I found out that he actually took his life. My first daughter came 7 and a half weeks early to come on what would have been his 50th birthday which I don't believe was a coincidence. I lost my dad Oct 26th, 2023. I got to be there with him and take care of him his last week on Earth. I knew we were hours away from him dying but I hadn't slept in soooo long and I was starting to lose my ability to stay strong. My husband wanted me to go lay down and get some rest and he promised he wouldn't leave his side and would wake me if needed, I was only gonna be able to get an hour of sleep anyways because I was the only one who administered his medicine but I wouldn't leave the room so I tried to lay down on the couch and catch a few minutes. I was listening to him gurgle and his breathing and I heard it change. I shot straight up and ran to him. I knew it was happening. My husband brought me a chair and I told him to go wake my aunt up. 5 min later he took his last breath while I held his hand and told him it was ok, it's time, go be with Jesus and your brother and dad. I'll take care of grandma. He died at 5:20am. Liver cancer. His older brother died less than 2 months later (December 15th) from same thing. My grandmother(their mother) had 5 heart attacks from the time my dad died to April of this year. She died 2 days after her 91st birthday. Sept 3rd, her only surving sister who was 95 died from lung cancer. We lost them all so quick. In 11 months we lost all 4 of them. My dad's baby brother died in 2017 from colon cancer. I miss my dad so much it makes me physically sick. It's a pain I can't fix. 😢. I'm sorry for your loss, I understand it all too well. I pray for peace and comfort and healing for you❤

In memory of my husband who died very suddenly six weeks ago after almost 38 years of marriage. Though I was right there when he died, I didn't know, and I didn't get to say goodbye. Neither did he. Neither did our grown son, who was also there. The paramedics tried to save him, but he couldn't be saved. He's in a better place, my mind knows that - I can't get my heart to accept that yet.

I appreciate the thought. But sadly I got health issues that I don’t think that anyone would want to be with me seeing as I live off of my VA compensation due to being disabled thanks to 8 years and two tours in Iraq. When I met her I was Better looking, somewhat successful had my own place and car. She giggled when I called her my GF for the first time. I loved (and still do) her more than even the my ex whom I have two children with. She completed me and brought out all the good things in me. She herself had to have been the sweetest, most kind, loving, good natured, lady that I ever met. But sadly as her MS progressed she started to suffer from psychological issues. It was so heart breaking having to watch her deteriorate and become someone so totally different. I told her though in one of her sad less frequent lucid spells that no matter what I’d always be there for her as she was for me. NO MATTER WHAT! I told her that even if she had to go into an assisted living facility that I’d find a place close so that I could see her everyday if she wanted that and to be able to bring her whatever she needed and or wanted. Even just stuff to surprise her so I could see her dimples smile. And now she’s gone… I feel like half of me is gone. The food and drink has lost its flavor and the sun doesn’t shine as bright. She hasn’t even called me. I’m thinking and hoping it’s because she either lost or forgot my number. But I also know since her mother and POS step father whom I used to respect and really like blame me for EVERYTHING! Even the stuff that happened years ago before we even met. I’m so lost and heart broken and I I’m starting to regret coming back for her( I flatlined and came back because of sepsis. I’ve been shot and shot at, stabbed, poisoned,nearly chopped into fishbait. But having to watch her suffer through that and not being able to do anything. I’m destroyed, hopeless and about ready to give up.
We are having one of two funeral services for my best friend today. She was only 36. 2022 my daughter's mother and my fiance was taken from us. This song helps me a lot. I grew up being taught that boys don't cry. When I need those tears to come but my upbringing blocks it, this song helps them come out. The line "now it's winter here on my own" really gets me. I hated winter before meeting her, she loved winter and I loved seeing how happy the snow made her, she also passed during the winter. So many feelings packed into that one line for me.
My grandpa passed when i was 7 years old,it turns out that the last time i was gonna see was when he could barly remember me in the hospital. If i would have known that was the last time i was gonna see him i would have made it count. He was always in and out of the hospital so i thought this was like any other time. I would always spend more time with me grandma and act like i loved her more, but i loved both the same. He was the best person ever, and I miss him so much. We would always go fishing together and he both had keychains that said fishing buddies, and now his is in his casket. On his birthday he sadly passed. He had a heartache which turned into a stroke. On his birthday the doctors let him choose if he wanted to keep trying or give up. He chose to give up and let the good Lord take him. He could probably still be here if he didn't choose to die, but he is in a better now with the Lord and I can't wait to see him again when I go to heaven.
My great uncle passed away on September 16th, 2023. My Grandpa passed away when I was 3 so my great uncle was basically a grandfather to me. I saw him the day before while he was on hospice and I couldn't take it. I tried so hard not to cry for my aunt but it was so hard. I didn't want to let the tears come out knowing that she was so strong holding it together when she was with my uncle since she was 13 (now in her 70s). I don't have many memories with my uncle but I sure do wish that if I had known he was leaving this world sooner, I would've made those memories. The only memory I really have is watching Wheel of Fortune with him. He wasn't responsive the last time I saw him and that killed me. 2 months before hand, at my brother's 16th birthday, he told me that he was going downhill and I knew it then, but I didn't have the time to make more memories. He asked me when I was going to have my 16th birthday party and I told him two years. I remember the way he repeated two years to me and that was when I knew for sure he wasn't going to stay on Earth for much longer. There are so many things I regret, but now, all I can do is be there for my Aunt. I feel you and I'm really sorry. I understand your pain.

My father passed away in November 3rd of 2018. And this song hits differently now. Because every single day I miss him more then words could explain. I lost my dad in 1998 when I was 18. He was the best dad I could've asked for. Never have and never will ask for pity or a shoulder to cry on. I was raised differently.. but there's one thing I wished I did and regret... to sit and have a beer with him. If I would've known... I look at my beautiful daughter and try be the best dad and best partner to my wife I can be for them while I'm here.

I lost my grandmother almost 2 months ago and it was the hardest. She had 10 liters of fluid on her and she had lots of health issues. She went into the hospital and had to get put on a ventilator. The doctor said she had a 50/50 chance. Whenever i close my eyes, i see her laying there on the ventilator. I asked to go to my friends house for church on May 22, 2024 and my parents kept telling me to come straight home and I got upset because i hadn't been in a while. When i got home, they told me my grandmother had passed away. It helps me feel better knowing that she is in heaven.

My son was 29 years old. Graduated from college. Was working for one of the largest agencies in Texas at the time of his passing. He never gave me any problems. He was very sweet and humble. The words in this song are perfect. He got to travel to Hawaii, Colorado, Canada, and Spain. He was going to travel to Japan. He had friend in other countries. He traveled alone sometimes. I miss him so much. He was my only son. I have two daughters. My oldest daughter was in the car with him. She was injured, but she is currently healing.

I've just found this and it's just coming up to my dad's birthday next month... he lost his battle with ptsd and other mental health issues. I will never forget the day we found out. I know it was 8am as I was getting into my school uniform when the police knocked on the door and got my mum to go outside with them. She told me after school and for 9 years I believed it was a heart attack, it wasn't until I was 17 when I found out that he actually took his life. My first daughter came 7 and a half weeks early to come on what would have been his 50th birthday which I don't believe was a coincidence. It was like my dad was telling me that he is still with me

I lost my dad Oct 26th, 2023. I got to be there with him and take care of him his last week on Earth. I knew we were hours away from him dying but I hadn't slept in soooo long and I was starting to lose my ability to stay strong. My husband wanted me to go lay down and get some rest and he promised he wouldn't leave his side and would wake me if needed, I was only gonna be able to get an hour of sleep anyways because I was the only one who administered his medicine but I wouldn't leave the room so I tried to lay down on the couch and catch a few minutes. I was listening to him gurgle and his breathing and I heard it change. I shot straight up and ran to him. I knew it was happening. My husband brought me a chair and I told him to go wake my aunt up. 5 min later he took his last breath while I held his hand and told him it was ok, it's time, go be with Jesus and your brother and dad. I'll take care of grandma. He died at 5:20am. Liver cancer. His older brother died less than 2 months later (December 15th) from same thing. My grandmother(their mother) had 5 heart attacks from the time my dad died to April of this year. She died 2 days after her 91st birthday. Sept 3rd, her only surving sister who was 95 died from lung cancer. We lost them all so quick. In 11 months we lost all 4 of them. My dad's baby brother died in 2017 from colon cancer. I miss my dad so much it makes me physically sick. It's a pain I can't fix. 😢. I'm sorry for your loss, I understand it all too well. I pray for peace and comfort and healing for you❤

In memory of my husband who died very suddenly six weeks ago after almost 38 years of marriage. Though I was right there when he died, I didn't know, and I didn't get to say goodbye. Neither did he. Neither did our grown son, who was also there. The paramedics tried to save him, but he couldn't be saved. He's in a better place, my mind knows that - I can't get my heart to accept that yet.

I was Better looking, somewhat successful had my own place and car. She giggled when I called her my GF for the first time. I loved (and still do) her more than even the my ex whom I have two children with. She completed me and brought out all the good things in me. She herself had to have been the sweetest, most kind, loving, good natured, lady that I ever met. But sadly as her MS progressed she started to suffer from psychological issues. It was so heart breaking having to watch her deteriorate and become someone so totally different. I told her though in one of her sad less frequent lucid spells that no matter what I’d always be there for her as she was for me. NO MATTER WHAT! I told her that even if she had to go into an assisted living facility that I’d find a place close so that I could see her everyday if she wanted that and to be able to bring her whatever she needed and or wanted. Even just stuff to surprise her so I could see her dimples smile. And now she’s gone… I feel like half of me is gone. The food and drink has lost its flavor and the sun doesn’t shine as bright. She hasn’t even called me. I’m thinking and hoping it’s because she either lost or forgot my number. But I also know since her mother and POS step father whom I used to respect and really like blame me for EVERYTHING! Even the stuff that happened years ago before we even met. I’m so lost and heart broken and I I’m starting to regret coming back for her( I flatlined and came back because of sepsis. I’ve been shot and shot at, stabbed, poisoned,nearly chopped into fishbait. But having to watch her suffer through that and not being able to do anything. I’m destroyed, hopeless and about ready to give up.

2022 my daughter's mother and my fiance was taken from us. This song helps me a lot. I grew up being taught that boys don't cry. When I need those tears to come but my upbringing blocks it, this song helps them come out. The line "now it's winter here on my own" really gets me. I hated winter before meeting her, she loved winter and I loved seeing how happy the snow made her, she also passed during the winter. So many feelings packed into that one line for me.
My grandpa passed when i was 7 years old,it turns out that the last time i was gonna see was when he could barly remember me in the hospital. If i would have known that was the last time i was gonna see him i would have made it count. He was always in and out of the hospital so i thought this was like any other time. I would always spend more time with me grandma and act like i loved her more, but i loved both the same. He was the best person ever, and I miss him so much. We would always go fishing together and he both had keychains that said fishing buddies, and now his is in his casket. On his birthday he sadly passed. He had a heartache which turned into a stroke. On his birthday the doctors let him choose if he wanted to keep trying or give up. He chose to give up and let the good Lord take him. He could probably still be here if he didn't choose to die, but he is in a better now with the Lord and I can't wait to see him again when I go to heaven.

I saw him the day before while he was on hospice and I couldn't take it. I tried so hard not to cry for my aunt but it was so hard. I didn't want to let the tears come out knowing that she was so strong holding it together when she was with my uncle since she was 13 (now in her 70s). I don't have many memories with my uncle but I sure do wish that if I had known he was leaving this world sooner, I would've made those memories. The only memory I really have is watching Wheel of Fortune with him. He wasn't responsive the last time I saw him and that killed me. 2 months before hand, at my brother's 16th birthday, he told me that he was going downhill and I knew it then, but I didn't have the time to make more memories. He asked me when I was going to have my 16th birthday party and I told him two years. I remember the way he repeated two years to me and that was when I knew for sure he wasn't going to stay on Earth for much longer. There are so many things I regret, but now, all I can do is be there for my Aunt. I feel you and I'm really sorry. I understand your pain.

My father passed away in November 3rd of 2018. And this song hits differently now. Because every single day I miss him more then words could explain. He passed away due to Kidney failure/ his brain stopped working so I didn't have a chance to say goodbye. His death was such a tragic moment in my life. My partner passed away very unexpectedly due to cancer complications back in Dec in a very tragic way , not a single minute goes by that I’m not thinking about all the good times we had together. Death has no given time limit, no one knows when they are going to die so live every day like it’s your last. I lost my grandmother almost 2 months ago and it was the hardest. She had 10 liters of fluid on her and she had lots of health issues. She went into the hospital and had to get put on a ventilator. The doctor said she had a 50/50 chance. Whenever i close my eyes, i see her laying there on the ventilator. I asked to go to my friends house for church on May 22, 2024 and my parents kept telling me to come straight home and I got upset because i hadn't been in a while. When i got home, they told me my grandmother had passed away. It helps me feel better knowing that she is in heaven.
