    Also, during this lockdown time- could you do a vid on dealing with FLARE ups at home now?? My Conch (1.5 years) has been severely flares/irritated- I keep trying different jewelry- even put back in the original long curved barbell it was done with- when I put a shorter post or flat back in, one or the other side gets inflamed and very sore/infected. Same thing with an upper helix:cartilage on other ear. So, I’m not having a great time. Is there a particular post/stud:flat back- that you sell you could recommend???? I will buy ASAP if you respond! Ty so much! I’m in New Jersey and obviously can’t go to my piercer.

      Cheyenne Sheppard mine took like four weeks, but it can be about 4-6. It’s shorter than a nostril because there isn’t any cartilage if they pierced it in the sweet spot!

    • @SparklingConversationalist
      @SparklingConversationalist 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know mine isn't healed yet (week 3) but I can already flip it and move it without it hurting or being sore. The tip of my nose was sore a lot longer than the piercing and so I had to be careful when washing my face or doing makeup to not pound on my nose or to move it the wrong way. But like I said, I am in week 3 and it doesn't hurt anymore. I love it and have no regrets. If you want it you should get it, just be sure that if you are working somewhere that they will allow it ir be sure that you can handle the tenderness when flipping it up. Just be sure that when you do touch it to flip it or clean it, that your hands are also clean.

    Hi! I messaged you guys on Instagram but I thought I would comment here too. I got my nose pierced in October of 2019 and about two months in I got a small bump. Ever since then I've been struggling with the bump. Usually, they look like a white head so I pop them (i know you're not supposed to but I'm desperate) and I get pus out of them, but it doesn't hurt like I thought an infected piercing would hurt. I use the Provon soap 2 times a day but it doesn't seem to be helping. After having it for 5 months I feel like it shouldn't be having this hard of a time... Any tips would help!

    • @rachelknight5797
      @rachelknight5797 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know you're wanting a response from them, but I thought I'd put my experience in here: I got my second nose piercing on my right side and wound up getting a bump. I had it for a long time (about a year and a half) I tried out NoPull Piercing discs. It was my last resort and it has actually helped. The only thing I was worried about was the bump had went away, but the area where the bump would raise from was still pink/red. I actually still have the discs on. I should've taken them off a while ago, but I haven't cuz I'd get my nails done and I didn't want to attempt taking the jewelry/discs off myself. I think the skin around the top, the scar, is just tender, but it may be because I need to get these discs off for when I clean it, I won't be pushing against the disc on the top anymore and also the piercing will have way more breathing room. Fast forward, I got my left nostril pierced by these guys and wound up getting a small bump on that one, too. I still have some scarring on it, but it's barely noticeable.
      From my experience, I wouldn't clean it twice with the soap everyday because it's a bit strong, unless there's noticeable gunk around the piercing. Try using warm compresses with salt water. Salt water is supposed to help with inflammation. Also, don't pop your bump. As much as you would like to, just don't do it. I did this multiple times and that is mostly the reason why mine is taking forever to heal. I think my piercing, itself, is healed, it's just the scar on top that is still a lil tender, but not terrible. Also, just the simple rule of thumb of not touching it unless you are cleaning it really helps out in the long run. I did use tea tree oil, but I wouldn't advise using it daily as it is also very strong and could dry out your piercing. Tea tree oil is tricky. It may work for you, it may not. Maybe try it out as a diluted solution first, if you haven't already. Everyone's body is different. Some people use diluted solutions, some use the solution directly on the piercing site. You have to experiment a bit because for ex. tea tree oil is not a cure for those pesky bumps, unfortunately. Since I've had my newer nostril piercing additions for a bit now, I tried using the provon soap on a q-tip and wet it a lil and just clean around the piercings instead of using the soap as a diluted solution. It got the gunk off for sure, but I don't do it like this daily. It was a test for myself since I've had my first nose piercing for 13 years and back then, I didn't dilute the soap. I just put it on a q-tip and wet it and cleaned around it.
      Since your bump is only a few months old, try using saline (salt water) rather than using the soap as a daily cleaner. Try using the soap maybe once or twice a week, like one day here and there, to see if it will help get more gunk off. Right now, you need to try calming down the bump, and the soap may be interfering with that. Btw, the warm compresses usually help release that plasma fluid from the bump. Since you said it's white, it shouldn't be infected.

    Seriously, just watching some of your videos where you keep trying to move hair out of the way annoys me! You know you’re getting a piercing, put your hair up and pin the baby hairs back out of their way. Why you put it on your piercer to deal with that?
