After reading almost all their books, the more deeply I started to realize Who, Why, How, When, should each specific strategy be applied. No shame to admit that Al Ries, Jack Trout, and Godden Seth are my favorite book authors when it comes to Branding as an Electrical Engineer crazy entrepreneur.
I love it! I’m so glad you like the book summaries, and it’s nice to know you’re a marketing book fanatic like me. Thanks so much for stopping by the channel ❤️

Law 15, the Law of Candor, is pretty funny. Law 21, the Law of Acceleration, is really important to me, distinguishing fads from trends, as it seems that the ability to analyze trends lends itself well to being able to predict/identify emerging fads and capitalize on them; learn the way of trends and fads can be navigated better, by extension. Law 5, the Law of Focus, seems the most difficult to me, and figuring out a brand's focus word to own seems to align strongly with Law 15, the Law of Unpredictability, because both are directly involved with the long-term direction of a brand rather than any plan. Great content. Definitely will check your other stuff out.
This makes me think about Tai Lopez'es "In My Garage" ad campaign. He effectively utilized as many of the 25 Cognitive Biasess as possible in his highly successful video ad on TH-cam. Thanks for sharing! James
You’ve uncovered an interesting point. How much change in the product itself would constitute a “line extension.” Something like cherry flavored 7-up drastically changes the nature of the product-a lemon lime soda. Lemon lime soda with cherry is significantly different than a plain lemon lime soda. So, possibly what the authors are getting at is that a drastic change is a line extension. Is a Chevy Tahoe with leather seats any less Chevy Tahoe than a Tahoe with fabric seats? Would an iPhone with 1tb storage be as much of an iPhone as one with 2tb storage? You’ve tapped into something here: the amount of change required to make something a “line extension” in the eyes of the authors seems to be a bit subjective. Thanks for the comment, and thanks for watching my animated summary of the 22 laws of marketing. 💛
Line extensions occur when a company introduces additional items in the same product category under the same brand name such as new flavors, forms, colors, added ingredients, package sizes. This is as opposed to brand extension which is a new product in a totally different product category.

I don’t fully understand Law #12
Isn’t apple doing a line extension when they give you options like iphone SE, Plus, Pro?
So is that a bad thing?
