Alexzander Griffin yea the gearing is definitely not ideal for this type of racing. Against some cars cars I’d shift 4 times where they only shifted twice 🙃
incorrect there are a few that have dine better then a subaru at the nuhren. ring in germany. and in a straight line no 4 cylinder can beat a V8 unless it has help of 25lb or more of boost. there is no replacement for displacement.

@@bag2963 his 4th to 5th gear ratio is spaced very nicely. It’s “tight”. He’s also power-shifting from 4th to 5th which is why you hear the pop. No delay in boost and it’s got long legs with a big turbo so he’s reeling a lot of folks back in there (up to about 160) - where his 5th gear taps out and his 6th gear is probably too long to get into
Folks , it is not about peak power ! It is about power to weight ratio and usable power band. That subie has probably over 500 wtq at 4500 rpm. And after 5200 rpm the horse power climbs all the way till 8000 rpm.
Thanks! It didn’t make crazy power but, was an efficient set up that worked well. Car actually got a lot faster shortly after this vid but I made a decision to part it out, part ways and put race cars on hold.

Dog dog 6466 is the truth as long as you’re tuning over 30psi that’s it’s happy place. 30-40psi imo. Mine was a twin scroll set up, with a big hot side

RPF1s was my lightest most affordable wheel option really and those 255/40/17 hankook Rs3 tires had just enough grip. I liked the wheel/tire set up a lot.
Gabriel Torres that’s the most power that could be made in the turbo I was using so it was definitely around 650 wheel 😄 it was a pretty efficient set up, car was also pretty light put in on a scale 3150lbs

Cameron J I actually do have a 2018 wrx. I’ve read countless horror stories of just going a stage 1 tune. Granted it’s most likely people driving like assholes. But a 3 year 36k warranty kind of says it all. Weak rods also. Are they American car bad? No. But they aren’t Honda reliable engines that’s for sure.
maanyoutalkalot they can be very reliable, with certain upgrades and aftermarket parts you can make a lot of reliable horsepower. Look at iag stuff, it’s expensive but it’s a lot of power + reliability which if you go for anything above 300-350 on stock shit it will probably not be as reliable
That z06 is def not FBO if that z06 is FBO and E85 it’ll be way over 800whp and you’re saying that a more aerodynamic z06 gets gapped by a 650whp wrx. That z06 is stock or just exhaust quit playin

@@vp62ift I can hold 800 wheel in my current block but after 700 these blocks dont last. I'd be buying a bigger turbo, bigger injectors, rotated kit, fuel pump, another wastegate, all for 100 hp because I'd never push past 700. So imma chill at 600.

Yesssir car made 650whp 550wtq and power didn’t taper off until 8200rpm. Car also scaled in at only 3150lbs with very little weight reduction.

You should be fine with forged internals. I'm pushing 23 psi on a stock ej205! Keeping my fingers crossed it doesn't go 💥!!!
