However, it is the water lily that is depicted in almost every mention of the “Lotus”. I think it is time to recognize that कमल (Kamal) = Water Lily NOT Lotus!
Yes...I have a lot of guppies in all my containers...Guppy fish is the best way to keep away mosquitoes from aquatic plants. You can also use floating plants like azolla or duckweed to cover the surface of the water
