And it confirms my belief that the water lily is often mistakenly called the lotus in India. Lotus is known as the national flower of India. However, it is the water lily that is depicted in almost every mention of the “Lotus”. I think it is time to recognize that
कमल (Kamal) = Water Lily
NOT Lotus!

Yes but I don't want to add fish. I couldn't spot them in your ponds as well. Do you have them? Or did you try something else?

Yes...I have a lot of guppies in all my containers...Guppy fish is the best way to keep away mosquitoes from aquatic plants. You can also use floating plants like azolla or duckweed to cover the surface of the water
