    Played GHS acoustic phosphor bronze for a couple of decades. Now I’m playing their Infinity Bronze (coated) and they are just wonderful sounding strings. I love GHS.

    I’ve tried most of the big string brands through the years; I always come back to GHS, second to none!

    I've tried a lot of different brands of electric bass strings over the last 40+ years of playing, and GHS are my #1. Pressurewounds, Boomers, and Brite Flats. Excellent strings.

    I grew up in a small town by battle creek and have played GHS for over 20 years. There was a tiny little factory down the street from me (no bigger than a house) and I was told as a kid that was where GHS string winders where made. Don't know if that is true, but has caused me to buy them for so long. The cryogenic strings break my brain a little. I always think they are cold to the touch. They arn't -- they are room temp, but my mind tells me they will be cold. Buy local people!

    I've settled on GHS Boomers after trying lots of other brands (I also like Thomastik Infeld but they're twice the price!). GHS are excellent strings I must say.

    I use Burnished Nickel Rockers...Best damn string going....I play pro gigs and have NEVER broke a string, I used to use D'Adarrio and I have gotten splinters I know they say its a nerve I call bullshit...I havent got one since switching...I play hard Rock Metal and everything inbetween also in another setting I play super clean chicken picking stuff...this string is good for all of those generes. I tried Ernie Ball, Dean Markley...pure junk...will never use another one..I bought a case of Dean Markely and broke a string every night, so I complained they sent me a new batch thinking the strings were old..nope..same thing...Ernie Ball? Not sure why so many use em...JUNK!!

    Love to se in reality where the Boomers are made. Far from USA to my local music shop in cold Sweden. I love tge GBXL 009 - it's a pleasure to both play and listen to them - the tone is bright and sound organic, surely the sweetest guitar strings on earth. AND they only costs 90 SEK=$9.50 dollars

    GHS Boomers 10-38 for me. Love them!

    • @stratmanuk
      @stratmanuk 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      10-38? That's an odd set, I've been trying to find 10-42 but not seen them yet; I like 10's but the bass is too 'boomy' with 46's

      @@stratmanuk it's the old Fender rock and roll set as used by Jimi Hendrix and Albert Collins. Very cool. I love the thinner G and the non intrusive low end of the low E. You might want to try a set.

    Sad to say a few years ago, I brought a set of pressure wound bass strings and I was very excited about them and their sound l called ghs and a tech picked up, and he was pretty rude. I was so disappointed all I wanted to know as a bass player for 27 years was how were they made , and what can I do to keep that tone lasting a while. But he was rude. I was so disappointed and now discussed. I just went back to rotosound.

    You can tell the owner loves strings and that's all that matters. And GHS Americanas are maybe the best strings I've played. Btw I appreciate tbe tour but you guys didn't seem to interested. No offense. There's a way to make people feel like you're interested and getting him to elaborate etc

      They are overrated in my opinion. The more budget friendly Boomers, roundwound also got supoerior tone - and I play with the X light 09-42 - it's a joy to bend them!

      D'Addario are the best strings bar none. There's a reason for that.
